Transitioning a jumpsuit for fall

I actually kind of forgot about my jumpsuit until I was brainstorming ideas for fashion blog posts for the fall. Then I remembered my Amazon black jumpsuit and how comfortable it is! Now, here in Georgia, we will probably have warm weather till close to November with the occasional need for an extra layer on some days. With that in mind, I came up with several outfits using my jumpsuit as a base to build on.

Fall accessories

I wore this outfit to run some errands this past Friday and while the morning started at 64 degrees, the high was 90 so there was no need for layers. I used my shoes (a pair of peep toe booties from Payless, a couple years old), a matching belt and earrings to give the jumpsuit a taste of fall.

An olive vest

What says fall better than an olive vest? I love this vest and will be writing a post next week on how to wear it different ways. It adds a little bit of a fall vibe to the outfit with adding too much warmth. Perfect for fall in the South.

White denim jacket and black and white sandals

You may not think of a white denim jacket as a fall item but anything with long sleeves can work for fall! I really love a classic black and white look and adding these sandals to the outfit just makes me happy! Amazing how many outfits I can make from shopping my closet! I really want to make sure to actually wear this one when it gets cooler, I think it is my favorite look.

Denim jacket

Everyone has a denim jacket: there is no easier way to layer. You can add it to for pretty much any outfit: skirt, dress pants, jumpsuit: add your denim jacket when the weather gets cooler! This one is from Target and I probably will pick up the lighter version later in the fall. For the price (24.99 I think), I find it to be of good quality and quite comfortable. I couldn’t find the exact same one, but here is one similar for 29.99.

Cardigan

This look would look great with any colored cardigan. I like the addition of the belt since I always struggle with whether to button the cardigan or not. If it was cooler, I probably would add my leopard scarf for warmth.I do not wear this cardigan very often but I love the mustard color for fall.

I am not 100% sure about these booties with this outfit but I think I kind of like them. These low shaft booties were a great buy from last year’s Nordstrom sale and I have worn them with a multitude of outfits: definitely a great color and type of bootie to have in one’s closet!

So there it is! Shop your closet and play around until you can create some different ways to create a fall look with either a jumpsuit or a tee shirt dress as a base!
