March Favorites

I had a hard time coming up with favorites for March at first. It is not that my life is that much different now than before apart from being stuck at home a little more than before.  I have been quite a homebody the past year or two unless we are on vacation but I had started to meet different friends once a week. I think it is more the uncertainty of when this will be over that gets to me. The children are doing well with their home schooling lessons and we really have enjoyed the outside time (minus the pollen) with walks and bike rides as well as meals outside. I am looking ahead at hopefully planning a trip this summer if this is over then and if not you can expect be to be somewhere fun next Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Back to favorites though!

Donut pan

With being home, I have spent more time in the kitchen baking some treats for the kids. It entertains me and their tummies enjoy them. After finding some recipes on Pinterest I found these donut pans on Amazon and ordered them.

3-Pack Silicone Donut Baking Pan of 100% Nonstick Silicone. BPA Free Mold Sheet Tray. Makes Perfect 3 Inch Donuts. Tray Measures 10x7 Inches. Easy Clean, Dishwasher Microwave Safe

The pans are really easy to wash and the donuts slide right out. The kids like the baked donuts I made but what they really enjoyed was the snacks I made with chocolate, rice krispies and peanut butter. The recipe I found on Pinterest is called 3 Ingredient Chocolate Crunch donuts.

Amazon graffiti pleated skirt

I bought a few skirts this month and after seeing Laura from I do deClaire wear her rainbow skirt in this post, I wanted to find one. She helped me find one on Amazon Prime and I love the happy colors. I am all about colorful outfits to brighten my days!

My back porch

With being stuck at home, the little things that I enjoy in my routine have become a little more important to my sanity. I have really enjoyed our back porch which I shared in a post last summer. A couple weeks ago, I added some string lights I had been meaning to hang for a while, and while I do need a few more strands those lights are really fun in the evening. In the morning, I enjoy my coffee there before the boys’ school work. The birds sing and I enjoy our wooded view. I end the day there quite often enjoying the calm.

I pray for all of those affected personally by the virus, those with sickness and those helping the sick. I am grateful for God’s mercies on our family and I pray that this will end soon.

A bientôt!
