Thanksgiving Outfit 2020

Well, it is not often that I wear a new head to toe outfit but this is one of them! I am hoping to wear this with a few adaptations at the beach (booties and maybe a tee) for Thanksgiving but really love the idea of this for a holiday. I think this outfit would be great for Christmas in the south or any family gatherings in the next month or so. I took advantage of my son’s orthodontist appointment day and had him do a little photo shoot for me by this cotton field. I had been passing it by and it looked near its peak so we took advantage of the overcast day to take some pictures.

You may have noticed how much I like my Target hats the past 2 months! I might be the only one wearing one around here but I love how they dress up a look and instantly give it an autumn vibe. We live in an area where they have several accessible cotton fields and I love how interesting the plants look. Last year’s pictures were taken in the evening (see post here) in a different field just a minute from this one.

This little Amazon skirt is the cutest thing! I think I can probably wear it 3 out of 4 season. It comes in many prints and colors but I really like this pink leopard since it was different than anything in my closet. I have had a thing for prints this year and have gotten rid of a number of old skirts that just aren’t me anymore. With the elastic band, you can pull it up or down depending which length you would like. It is a little shorter than 18 inches long.

My leather boots were a find on Sole Society this summer. They were on sale, I loved the detail and they are leather! Not bad for $50. I also love the color. All of my tall boots are showing years of wear but I am holding on to them until I replace them.

Another summer find for $8 was this pretty sweater from Loft! I actually bought this with a gift card so it was free! Lovely details in the sleeves which balloon a little towards the wrist. I think it will work really well over some of my fall dresses that have short sleeves! I chose my Nickel and Suede leopard earrings to play on patterns and because they contrasted well with the sweater. Remember the best time to buy Nickel and Suede earrings is during their sales and when they have their monthly earring of the month. If you sign up to be a BFF (on their mailing list) you will receive free shipping for all of your orders.

Do you dress up for Thanksgiving or dress very casually! I like to dress up a little but have to adapt to my location which for the few years has been the beach!

A bientôt!
