Birthday Look: Happy Birthday, Ada!

For the past few years, Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood celebrate her birthday with a virtual birthday blog party! So today, I am sharing what I would wear were I to meet Ada for a birthday celebration whether it be at a restaurant, a backyard or home! Happy Birthday, Ada! I have enjoyed getting to know you this past year and collaborating on the occasional Thursday Moda and our monthly Sunday Showcase!

I like an outfit that can work for different occasions and this comfortable look (I changed into it outdoors) fits the bill. I picked up this cute tank at Kohls when I returned an Amazon purchase and the store gave me $5 Kohls cash: the tank came to $2!

You have seen this clutch in a recent post (I apologize for the blurry picture but I liked the pose so I decided to include it anyways) with my red dress.

After having to get rid of my last pair of striped sandals, I searched for a pair earlier this year and found these Steve Madden ones on sale at DSW. They are still on sale but a little more than what I paid. They are very comfortable and an easy way to add some pattern mixing to an outfit. I have worn them several times already with dresses, skirts and pants.

I chose a fun shiny blue cuff and some silver and blue earrings (which you can’t see as they are more dainty) to pull some of the light blue from the tank. This tank is very lightweight but not see through and will look great with shorts this summer.

I haven’t been to an adult birthday party in years. My 40th was probably the most fun one. I think we often times take time to celebrate babies, weddings and such but feel self conscious or self centered if we celebrate our birthdays in a bigger way.  I think we should do it more often!

So once again, Happy Birthday, Ada! Many years!

    This is such a fun idea!! I really love your outfit Mireille. It’s super cute and perfect for a backyard BBQ or party at a restaurant. I love the pattern mixing with the stripes and how the shoes match your bag! And I agree, even though that one pic is slightly blurry, I love the pose. Hope you’re having a great Wednesday!

      Yes, I couldn’t just delete it. Kiddo needs to double check waht he is focusing on lol! Stripes really make a statement in accessories. No regrets getting those shoes!

      Yes! At first I wasn’t sure about them because it is all a stretchy band (wasn’t sure whether would be too loose) but turns out they are quite comfortable. I was wearing them walking in the grass and dirt and had no problems. Got them in my usual size 7. I linked them didn’t I? They make a nice statement and contrast! And with their usual sales not too expensive.

    This outfit is so so cute, one of the best you have worn and shared this year. I am honored you chose it for my birthday. The tank – what a steal! – the striped wedges and the clutch are all so fun and nice!

    Happy birthday, Ada!! And you, my friend, would certainly be the belle of the birthday bash in this darling outfit. What pretty colors in that bargain of a tank top from Kohls. I need to buy something from Amazon and return it to my Kohls so I have an excuse to go in there!! Love that blue with the coral. And those striped sandals are super cute, too. Just the right amount of subtle pattern without being overwhelming.

    You find the prettiest places for your photo shoots. We were ‘back home’ in Ohio and Kentucky last week and I couldn’t get enough of all the green. I do miss green!!

      Thanks, Leslie! It felt really comfortable to hope I wear it in real life soon. Maybe for a date night with hubby. This place is 3 minutes from my house so I have been taking a lot of my pictures here.

    What a great price for this lovely top, love the print. I’ve been looking for a pair of wedges just like these, they’re gorgeous, great style and look very comfortable. I can’t wear anything uncomfortable these days. x

      Thanks! It was a cool find! I think you will like the printed pixie pants I picked up at Old Navy when returning some stuff. Got a great deal and they are a fun floral.
