Shop my Closet: 13-26

I am sharing my shopping through my closet journey this month (see part 1 here) and have been fun creating unique to me outfits! I like the variety I have displayed here from the past 2 weeks!

The nice thing about shopping my closet and constantly reevaluating what I have, is that what I do keep in my closet, I really like! This month, I have tried to include color and variety in most of my outfits as well as wearing some things I haven’t worn in a while. The outfit on the right is a prime example of that. I hadn’t worn those pants since October and the burgundy tunic hadn’t been worn since last year. That tunic is an example of something that has a lasting power in my closet. It’s probably more than 8 years old now, and I still think the color and print are very pretty. On the left, I am wearing a scarf I made years ago and the camo vest used to be my oldest son’s vest.

Weekend Looks

Weekend looks often include two looks if I do not feel like wearing a skirt or dress all day. I did some IG work for a partnership and had to show off this bag from ShopLCtv then just added a skirt over my leggings.

I bought this Billabong skirt back in November I think and while it is definitely a spring/summer skirt, it can work all year long! I used my Maggie Snaps to tie it together since the split was a little to high for church. I wore my new Vivaia black booties I won in a giveaway with Graceful Rags. She wore her pair in the blog post I linked. I changed into my jeans in the afternoon for comfort as well as to show off the boots to share on Instagram.

Jeans

I still wear my skinny jeans quite often and tried to pick some unworn tops to pair with them. Of course, I need to add some pop of color! The thrifted fringe cardigan is really pretty but I do not wear it much. This outfit reinforced the need to keep it: those colors make it a keeper. Bad hair day? Add a hat! That is why I am wearing a hat on the right!

Colorful Pants

How much do I love those Old Navy floral pants? I have never regretted buying them! That print is so fun and happy and I wear them all year long. Then I went for a monochromatic look on a warm winter day with a column of olive. Both that top and the navy one are old from Old Navy. I think I bought them when we moved to this house 6 years ago!

Leggings

Two leggings outfits: I wore one on the weekend when I often just want to be comfortable and laid back but the fun bootie dress them up a little. Then to go thrifting I made sure to have a tank under my sweater. it is so much easy to try on clothes when you just have to pull the sweater off and if the dressing rooms are clothes, you can try out things by a mirror without losing your modesty.

I wore the capri white leggings on a rainy day therefore my water resistant leopard booties.

Coat

I haven’t worn coats much lately but I took advantage of a windy day to wear my burgundy Poshmark find. I found it last year for a steal (less than $15) and I really love the cut and style. I am wearing my burgundy Peekaboo Shirt Tail (shop here with a 20% off with MIREILLE). The size medium definitely gives me more coverage and shows off better under my sweaters.

I omitted a couple outfits that will be making it on the blog soon. I think my two favorite outfits these past two weeks are the ones I wore that Sunday with the crop rust cardigan! The bright floral pants are the runner up.

A bientôt!
