Dining on steak on a budget
My husband and I love our ribeye steaks. When asked to choose a steak, we will ideally choose a ribeye every time, medium rare. But ribeye steaks are definitely not something too friendly on our budget. A few years ago, the hubby came home with some chuck eye steaks and I was sold! Chuck eye steaks have a very similar taste to ribeyes but the cost per pound is a lot less. We usually can find them for around $6-7/lb versus $13-14/lb for ribeye steaks.
Since they can usually only cut two chuck eye steaks from a cow, you may not find many on the beef shelf at the grocery store. I remember inviting a group of friends one Sunday and planning to grill some chuck eye steaks and had to stop by two Publix stores to pick up the 6 steaks I needed.
We usually marinate ours in either Dales or with Worchestshire sauce and salt and pepper. Medium rare and … perfection at a discount price!
A bientôt!

I am terrible about knowing the different cuts of meats and what to get. But your steaks look delicious. I’ll have to make a note to try these!! For awhile we were having tri tips, but either I haven’t seen them lately, or we just haven’t gotten them.

We like steak with a lil fat so these fit the bill. Pun intended, lol! I actually like these better than filet mignon too! Not that I have had much filet mignon in my life..
