Birmingham Botanical Gardens Part 2
This second post focuses on the beautiful flowers and scenery we saw at the botanical gardens. All of the pictures were taken by my oldest son.
We walked through the gardens for about 1 hour and a half starting with the rose garden. It probably was a week past its peak so some of the roses were past their prime.
We then walked to the Japenese gardens.
I love the water features: I just wanted to take of my shoes and waddle in!
Look at this succulent: Wish I had a green thumb!
We ended with the cactus. For some reason I find cacti fascinating!
Hope you enjoyed this foray into the flora world!
A bientĂ´t!

Yes! My thumb sure isn’t green either. But with my mom in law watering our plants here, our garden is nice this year. Will have to post some pics on instagram!

I keep trying, but mostly I can only successfully grow hostas and day lilies. I really admire beautiful gardens like this! I find them so peaceful!

Yes, I do too: I tend to not water things so my plants usually don’t survive very long so I enjoy seeing others gardens!

How gorgeous is this?! And you and me both…I really wish I had a green thumb. My mom is incredible with plants, but the green thumb must skip a generation lol. Your photos are fabulous! (kudos to your son!)

My son just couldn’t stop taking pictures! He did the same the first week we were in Europe: I need to get him to download his pictures so we can see what he has!
