Fall decor on a budget
Since I am trying to be thrifty this fall, especially for this month of October, I decided to see what I could do to add a little to my fall decor to welcome fall in. I started with the items I already had.
My little Target bird and my letter board adorn my mantle. I know sand and seashells are not fall decor but sorry, not sorry, they are a sweet reminder of our summer trip to Spain and France this summer.
My buffet table behind the couch displays this fall sign I found last year at Hobby Lobby and a few pumpkins from Target dollar spot (also old). I need to find something cute to fill the glass little lightbulb. I have two on display but haven’t decided what they should be filled with.
The dining room buffet table displays these fall signs that I made with leftover wood, paint and vinyl with my cricut. I added some more pumpkins.
Lastly, I use a store credit gift card at Home Depot to buy a fall wreath and a new doormat. I pulled out this pretty pumpkin to complete the front entrance.
So the cost of my decor for this year was 0 until I bought some pillow covers! I bought 5 pillow covers for a total of $20. The covers are nice and thick and of good quality! The plaid pillow covers and the orange pillow cover are made of a burlap material. I used the extra orange cover for one of my outside pillows. I am pleased with my decor and don’t see me adding much to it next year apart from maybe a few diy wood projects!
I had forgotten my fall vignette on my dining table! The placemats and the “balls” were Target finds a few years ago. The pitcher was thrifted and my dried lavender is ancient! It is about 23 years old and “gasp” my friend and I picked it from a field in Provence, France without permission!
A bientôt!

I always love those decorations at someone elses house! I only have two things at my front door, but in my house it is empty and white! haha, I like it that way!

I don’t like to have too much, and I am usually ready to change things out after a couple months!

Love your fall decorations. Actually, I also really love that buffet table. I really like more rustic, natural wood tables like that.

We got the 2 buffet tables in a little store downtown when we moved into our new house. They were displays and we asked if we could purchase them!

Happy Friday! Everything looks so Fall fabulous. Your comments don’t allow me to respond by email so I thought I would just tell you here that the Dr. Scholl’s slip on sneakers are absolutely perfect! Order 1/2 size down but they were so comfortable all day and I plan on wearing them in the airport on my next trip!

Thank you Andrea! Weird that it doesn’t allow an email response! Will see if I need to checkmark something when I leave a comment!

The stuff you made yourself is fabby!! Spring here but enjoy looking at these pretty home additions and being inspired! We’ve been giving our apartment in the beach suburb of Wollongong, an hour south of Sydney a bit of a makeover and it’s always something I enjoy!
Thank you for sharing!

I love how switching out just a couple of things can create such a great look. And to get some of them thrifted is even better. Or great memories like the sand and shells.

Yes, no need to spend tons of money!

Such great fall decorations. I haven’t bought any new decorations this year but found plenty I’ve collected over the years. I did want to add a couple fall colored pillow covers, but all I could find in town were ready made pillows. I have enough pillows, just needed covers. So I skipped adding new pillow decor.

Ok, I need all of your decor! It’s so beautiful! I absolutely love your little birdie from Target and your pillow covers. What great finds!

Thanks Lindsey! Wait till you see the little birds for Christmas: they are even cuter! I usually get them after the holidays so they are on sale but I think they are $5 so that bad!

I love your wreath it is so nice and full. I’m going to freshen mine up with some new black and white plaid ribbon along with fall ribbon and some new pics. I saw the plaid mixed in on Pinterest and liked it. Thank you for sharing your post on #omhgff
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I was surprised that it was only 14.97 at Home Depot but it was even better just using that store credit!

Great work on the decor within a budget. You speak my language. I also wanted to make a few little decorative signs with my cricut but have been making mugs lately with my daughter for a craft sale she is going to instead.

That’s great Bojana! I haven’t made any mugs but did do some decals for tumblers.

That is great! I like that it can be used longer than Halloween decor.

I am terrbile at decorating mostly because my children still destroy everything! But I do love looking at and appreciating the decor that others share. Someday I will have my home all cozy and pretty like this. So I have one of those lightbulb jars and mine houses a Japanese marimo moss ball (algae ball). These are very cool plants (ones that I cannot kill) and they look pretty in the lightbulb jar with water and colorful stones. Thanks for sharing your decor and linking up with me.

Oh, that is a really cool idea for those lightbulb jars. Mine are really small but I might see what I can find!
