Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Flora
This post concludes my short series focusing on the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. We really enjoyed our visit and this beautiful space reminded me how much I like flowers and plants even if I do not have a green thumb. Not too much was in full bloom when we visited (the orchids area was closed, the tulips were gone and the roses were not there yet) but it was still beautiful.
This beautiful plant is a flame azalea: I would have guessed it was a type of honeysuckle. Gorgeous!
I used to have a camelia bush… it died! I am not one to water plants so when I try to grow something it has to be very hardy. This bloom blew me away with its beauty.
The rainforest building had a few blooming flowers and this one caught my eye with its colors. This plant originates from the ginger family and is from India.
What bright colors! I think a lot of designs and colors that are man created are all taken from the beauty God created in nature around us. A flower may be big or small, intricate or simple but always holds so much beauty.
It is always fun to discover some sculpures hidden away: the boys hadn’t even noticed the piper until I pointed it out. Each visit you can find something you new to you even if it has always been there!
And it is always fun to find a new friend!
A bientĂ´t!

I’m not great at remembering to water or take care of my plants either so I tend to stick to heartier perennials in our yard that I know I can sort of neglect and they’ll still come back the next year (or else I plant something else in its place!). These are some really lovely varieties of flowers that you found.

That’s me: need plants that can be neglected!

What a fabulous adventure. We always love seeing what’s in bloom (and we kill everything if we try to grow it ourselves, haha)
XOXO

Such beautiful flowers! I am so envious of climates that can grow azaleas and camilas.
