Minimal Fall Decor
I have become a lot more minimalist with my decor in the past few years. I have become ruthless with what I put out and keep and like, and apart from the Christmas season, there are usually just a few touches to mark the season in my house. I typically decorate the living area and add a few touches to the dining room (which really don’t use much anymore) and our coffee island.
The coffee island is where I decided to add my fall metal sign this year as well as a couple felt pumpkins I bought a couple years ago. I forgot to turn on the lights on the side quite often, but I sure love how it looks!
I bought 2 packs of these yellow paper lanterns for a baby shower last year and I like having them out in September and October. Since I love bright yellow and September is when I have a birthday, I use it as part of my birthday decor.
I streamlined my pumpkins for ones that are more neutral and with lots of textures. The larger ones are from Hobby lobby a few years ago. I love the canvas one below.
I haven’t bought any fall decor in a couple of years. I am content with what I have and usually don’t feel the need for the house to be all cutesy at the beginning of the school year.
This particular bowl of “balls” has dwindled over the years as some of the different ones have disintegrated, but I still like the texture it adds to the corner of my computer table.
Do you go all out for fall decor, or do you keep it minimal? Which season do you like to decorate more for?

Love your pumpkins and your vase with the balls in it. I do not like orange, even though I live in Tn., so I use different colors. I found some minature ones at Target a couple years ago and they were so pretty.

I love that there are different color schemes than orange for pumpkins!

I think it all looks great. I can fit all my fall decor into 2 large-ish totes (pillows included) so I’d say I’m more minimalist in our decor too.

I think one of the reasons I like it simpler is that it is around the beginning of the school year so I want less things around.

You have some really cute fabric pumpkins! Very cute decor. I love having touches like that throughout the house.

I really do love them and their simplicity!

I love the idea of saying I’m minimal in my decorating. I always felt terrible that I didn’t decorate for the seasons, so instead, I’ll just claim to be minimalistic, LOL
Love the laterns for fall.

I think your house is so pretty with your regular decor, you don’t need anything to take away from that.

I am with you. I like minimal decor. There’s something about a simple room with minimal decor that is just so attractive to me. And to be honest, there are really only two holidays I decorate for – Halloween and Christmas!

I usually go all out for Fall and Christmas decorating. But, this year has been different. Most of my pumpkins (which are ceramic) are in the attic. So, I had do with the ones that were in the house. My heart just isn’t in it this year.
I love the sign on your coffee bar.

Yes, those flowers were so nice, they lasted quite a while too!

I’ve downsized my decorations a lot as well since we moved to a smaller home. I’m trying not to buy more things since I still have to store them in a smaller place. Your decor looks beautiful!
