How to Style Your Blazer for a Casual Look
This year, I realized that despite all of my lightweight jackets (and I have quite a few), I didn’t have a single blazer. Jodie, one of the most creative bloggers I know, suggested to search for one while thrifting and inspired by her, I did find one that I will style next month. On her hand, she searched for one t0o and found this adorable polka dotted one. You should have seen us exchanging texts and pictures as I was running with running club. Not exactly conducive to texting and looking at pictures but that was when she was in store at Goodwill in Arizona! Today, we are both once again teaming up to share some looks with you, styling our blazers for a casual look. Here is her blog post so make sure to stop by because she is sure to inspire you!
Styling a blazer with wide leg jeans
For me, wide leg jeans are more casual than fitted ones so I reached for these pretty quickly when deciding to style a casual look. I then decided to have some fun and to try to be as creative as Jodie and try some daring to me print mixing.
My leopard wedge sneakers really pick up the pattern and colors of the blazer and bookend the look! While I may look for a more oversized blazer like you might have seen others sport, I really like the fitted ones such as this one and the 3/4 sleeve length is icing on the cake!
Styling with a blazer with a graphic tee
By definition, a graphic tee is casual so this was my second idea to style the blazer in a casual look.
I always try different tucks to figure out how I like my top better. The proportions looked best with my tee tucked all the way in and adding a belt finished the look.
I like that the two main items in my outfit are thrifted! You definitely can create some fun and intersting outfits on a budget. As a matter of fact the red tank above is thrifted too!
Now let’s go see how Jodie, her mom Charlotte, Lesley and Nancy styled their blazers for their casual looks! Read all about it here!

That is a super cute blazer! I like the shorter length of both the jacket part itself and the sleeve.

I love a good blazer. Last fall I committed to updating and having a few more blazers in my closet and I have not regretted it. I think leaopard and dots are a pattern mix made in haven but I really like the simple graphic tee with the blazer. It’s so polished and chic.

Such cute and fun casual looks with a fitted blazer – nice! I am wearing a somewhat fitted polka dot blazer today too (but with a skirt for a business casual level of outfit) so this was a timely post for considering other ways for me to wear it!

I’ll be wearing another blazer with some skirts next month!
