Chattanooga Parks: A Must Do with Children
My friend Rachel introduced me to Renaissance and Coolidge Park in Chattanooga. These 2 parks are right next too each by the river and near all the food and shops. Parking is fairly inexpensive and is easy to get too. On our overnight stay during the Christmas break, this was our first destination. I had spoken to the boys about the hill where you can slide down on carboard boxes and they were excited to see what I was talking about.
This hill is in Renaissance park and it took us a few tries to figure out how to get going and how big the carboard piece needed to be for a fast and smooth ride but when we did, we had lots of fun. I only rode down a few times myself, but the boys did that for more than 30 minutes.
We then walked along the river taking our time to enjoy the beautiful weather.
I wore my Peekaboo Shirttail under my sweater to add coverage with my leggings. They offer free shipping and I have a 20% discount code for you MIREILLE20! It is a small business based in Texas. I have loved having this piece for my leggings outfits because I like to be covered but am usually limited to some of my sweaters and tops. And the fun print of this one lends itself to print mixing!
The walking bridge is always fun for pictures but this was the first time we took pictures under. We walked to lunch which created a nice appetite. Thankfully, nobody was too hangry! I tried to be budget friendly so we ate at Panera since my son had brought 2 free kids lunch coupons from school.
On the way back, we stopped for a ride on the carousel which is housed in the building below. I love how affordable the carousel is and only $1 per person per ride.
We stayed at a Hilton hotel downtown using our points and enjoy a free breakfast and went to the Nooga Lights show that first evening. I will share some pictures and a video of it in next week’s blog!
A bientôt!

And it was free! Everyone said it was one of their favorite parts of our mini trip.

Haha that looks so fun! There is a very similar hill in Boise but instead of sliding down on cardboard boxes, you buy a block of ice and slide down that (in the summer time). It seems super dangerous, ha! Love these bridge photos, and your sweater is super cute.

I’ve been trying to add a little video here and there to illustrate my point! The first time I went down, it wasn’t so graceful!

This looks so fun!! I bet my kids would love going down a hill on a cardboard box and I love that you even tried it! The color of that walking bridge is so pretty. I need to check out that Peekaboo Shirttail!! I have some sweaters, etc. that I wish were just a tad bit longer so I could wear them with my leggings!

I’ve driven past Chattanooga so many times but never spent any time there. Some day, I’d like to spend a day or two there!
