Camo and Turquoise Outfit
Last month, I receive several items for my collaboration with ShopLcTv. One of pieces I chose was this pair of turquoise earrings. Just a few weeks before, at Christmas, my mom gifted me my grandmother’s silver and turquoise necklace. My grandparents had lived in Arizona and California and my grandmother had several Native American pieces. I actually had never seen this necklace.
I’ve been wanting to wear both of these pieces together since I received them so this day was the day. I wore a camo tunic and camo wedge sneakers, turquoise and white. While turquoise doesn’t stand out as much against the camo pattern, I really like the combination.
I wore this outfit on errands and then to the library where we took our pictures. It was definitely a mild day in the mid 50s. This winter weather can be so confusing. I really haven’t had a need to wear much more than a light layer most days. This could really be a fall outfit depending where you live!
My son and I were joking about taking pictures ahead of time for the blog and how it could get confusing if it snowed late in the season and all of my posts were scheduled ahead. I reminded him that I can always switch the dates around. But as you saw with the first picture, I was not all the way frozen without the cardigan (it was actually kind of cold with the wind though).
After these pictures, and looking at the close up of my face, I decided it is time for me to start a facial routine. Just daily washing, face moisturizers and such. I will share if I notice any difference (I usually do nothing at all but rinse by face with water). The only makeup I wear is eye makeup but I have noticed dark circles later and that maybe it’s time to moisturize regularly.
I cannot wait to wear the necklace with a contrasting color: coral, yellow, and white come to mind. I have several pieces of my grandmother that I enjoy wearing and should wear more often.
I’ve been keeping certain pieces year round in my closet (like this short sleeve tunic) because it can me layered over and under. I actually had wanted to wear my lace Halftee under but I had not received it yet. I think it would look perfect and add that juxtaposition of styles.
A bientôt!

You have such pretty turqoise pieces and that necklace stands out so well against the camo background.

The turquoise pieces look terrific with the olive camo, and I agree that you will find them versatile with a lot of different colors of clothing.

So nice you have one of your grandmother’s necklaces. The earrings are perfect with it. The camo and turquoise is an interesting combination. The turquoise still pops against it.

It was fun to try something different and I hadn’t worn that tunic in a while. Need to make sure to wear all the things!

I like your cardigan and the simplicity of this look. I like the jewellery with stones; I use them back in Ukraine, but I haven’t checked them out here in the UK.
Hope you are having a great weekend?

My grandmother lived in Arizona for many years so she ended up with a lot of really nice pieces with turquoise.

I think the turquoise really just pops against the camo! What a wonderful gift from your mom! I rarely have photos just waiting, but it never fails that the background doesn’t seem to match the time I post it!

I really try to write in advance but it doesn’t always happen. Case in point, I need to write tomorrow’s post but I do have my pictures!
