Beauty in Nature

Welcome to my 2nd post sharing the beauty our family has found in nature in the past week or so. We returned to the same Indian Mounds and state park last week. This time I really enjoyed taking it all in and let my oldest take care of taking pictures. I am going to look at websites to help him work on his photography and allow him to use my camera. He seems to have a great eye for photo composition. First off though, I wanted to share this picture of one of the blooms from my mother in law’s jasmine honeysuckle. These usually attract hummingbirds and the blooms are quite pretty and fragrant.

Since I have quite a few pictures I would like to share, today, I will share our pictures from Red Top Mountain State Park and next week, I will end the series with pictures from the Indian Mounds once again.

I am also sharing boys each wrote a poem about nature.

Spring has prity trees.

Summer has lots fo suny days

Fall maks the levs fall down

Winter maks the trees die

(N, 6 years old)

Spring

Air as light as snow,

Wind that surely does blow,

As rainy as sunny,

As hot as cold,

Spring is the time

When things change a hundredfold.

I love these stone chimneys. I would love to have a cool stone fireplace in my yard but I will settle for just a small stone firepit!

In the nature there are wolves and kiyotes,

Please do not be scared

or do any care

because I like nature

and so should you

I still can get over the color of the lake. We just love to sit and watch the water.

One of the picnic tables was halfway in the water and the boys thought it would be so cool if we ate there (of course we didn’t!).

Have you found any nice spot to enjoy nature? Explored any new trail? As your weather warms up, enjoy the beauty nature has to offer. It is starting to get hot here, so we will have to find shaded areas to go to as well as start choosing early morning to go out. Summer will be here in Georgia in no time!

I will leave you with another flower, this one a thistle plant, and very prickly! I thought it looked really neat. The first time I remember seeing one was actually in the Republic of Georgia so when I saw this one, I had to document it. They are usually purple so this magenta color caught my eye.

A bientôt!
