Inspired by Jaymie Ashcraft (navy and olive combo)

Look # 1

Today I am sharing with you 2 outfits featuring olive and navy. Those are not colors that I usually combine but after seeing it on another blogger (Jaymie Ashcraft), I got inspired to see what I could create from my closet. As most of my post, I do not have links for my clothes because most of them are not new and also because my aim is to help you take advantage of what you already own and what you may want to add to your closet to help you create more outfit combinations. Use the colors or the type of clothing as your inspiration just as I did by not copying that blogger’s exact look but by using it as a baseline for your own look.

I have had all of these items except for the shirt in my closet for at least a year. I have two pairs of olive jeans and I like these the most because they are slightly darker than my other pair. They are American Eagle Next Level high waisted jeggings (similar). You have seen these blush Caslon sneakers on the blog before and I used them (similar) as well as my Nickel and Suede earrings to bookend my look.

This Target shirt was somewhat of a surprise for me. I found it on the clearance rack and I wasn’t sure whether it would fit because it was a size XS and it is cropped at the front. I also did not want it to add too much visual weight to my belly area but I was pleasantly surprised. I like it! The green stripes in the shirt tie in with the olive pants.

I really like the 3/4 length of the navy blue jacket. It allows you to wear bracelets that can be seen (oops, I do not have a picture proving that point) and it is not restrictive.

Look # 2

For this second look, I wore my second pair of olive jeans. These are lighter in color and feel more springy to me. Once again I am wearing a pair of Nickel and Suede earrings (gold cork leather). My jean jacket is thrifted, the little unique detail about it is the collar.

I am wearing my Madewell sandals even though it was kind of cold when we took these pictures. I plan to wear them on our trip to Europe so I am trying to see how comfortable they are. My navy shirt is from Old Navy and I got it on clearance last summer when I was looking to add navy to my closet.

I really like this color combo and it makes me realize that I really like to create new outfits with what I have in my closet. I need to make sure to write a quick note when I see a color combination I have not thought of before or pin it on Pinterest!

A bientot!
