Leggings: Go2Socks vs Zella High Waisted
In the fall and winter, I have been wearing solely my Zella high waisted leggings when I want to wear leggings instead of jeans. I always wear a tunic or long sweater with them. A few months ago, Jodie from Jtouchofstyle recommended the Go2Socks compression leggings in a post (the link takes you to one of 3 posts on reviewing the leggings). With such a difference in price, I decided to go ahead and purchase a pair and put them to the test. Of course I took advantage of her discount code too!
Zella High Waisted Leggings
I paid full price for my pair of Zella leggings but they do occasionally go on sale for 30% off. I have had my leggings for over 2 years and they do not show any wear and tear after many washes. I probably have worn them more than 40+ times! I like the thickness of the leggings and the seam on the side that gives them less of a work out feel. They are 100% opaque. The wide band at the waist smooths any muffin top. Despite the price, I would buy these again if my pair ever wears out. They are 88% polyester and 12% spandex. I wear these in medium.
Go 2 Socks Compression Leggings
These leggings are a great value for their price: at $19.99, I find them to be comfortable and versatile. I have worn this pair more for exercise activities because they are slightly thinner than my Zella leggings but still opaque. The material is 87% nylon and 13% spandex which gives it more of a workout material feel. I love the smartphone pockets feature especially when I am hiking.
The only issue I have with these is that they seem to sag in the crotch area and I find myself having to pull them up. The high waist band though stays in place and I liked that part of the leggings a lot.
My cute little hiking buddy! I carried my phone in my leggings pocket and the leggings were none the worse for wear after a hard fall climbing down the ridge at the end of our hike. I am wearing the size small.
Conclusion
I still prefer my zella leggings mostly because of the issue I have with the Go2socks leggings sagging in the crotch area but I am glad to have both and would buy them both again.

Zella leggings are my favorite! They fit and wash so well! I love that the other pair you tried has pockets!

A definite bonus as well as the price.

I wouldn’t like the sagging in the crotch area at all – I like my pants to stay in place which doesn’t always happen

lol!

It’s fun you got to try a different brand of leggings, even if you love your original one the most! 🙂 We never know until we try really! they look great on you and you can’t tell that they sag but I understand that would be really annoying!
Hope that you are having a good week 🙂

They don’t sag too much that it drives me crazy just a little annoying sometimes.

Sorry to hear of your fall! I have yet to try Zella leggings as I have never had someone explain so well to me why they are worth their price tag. I think I’ll have to get a pair and try them out myself.

I would definitely wait till a sale though. They should go on sale this summer at the nordstrom anniversary sale. They have lasted so well!

I haven’t tried Zella leggings…they really must be thick because I thought the Go2 ones were darn thick.
This was so nice to read Mireille,

Just a little thicker! A different feel to them.

I have only 1 pair of Zella leggings, but I’d like more! I haven’t heard of Go2Socks, but if the price point is better and you just need some everyday leggings… I can see how they’d be nice!

Such a wonderful review and comparison, Mireille! I stopped wearing leggings a few years ago because I find that they all sag on me. And I listed most of mine on Poshmark (I had a lot). I kept only some workout leggings, my only pair of LLR leggings, and a black pair that I bought at Talbots sometime in the mid-1990’s. And believe it or not, those 25 year old leggings are still going strong. But now I kind of wish I had more leggings right now since comfort is key these days.

Apart from my workout leggings, those are the on 2 I have. So far the most comfortable bottoms I have are my joggers and I keep on the lookout for more. I do have the joggers I consider lounge wear and those I consider clothes. Variety is quite nice though!

Great review / comparison! I love leggings. They are the only thing I wear. I’m all about comfort.

I wear them the most in winter when I want a change from my jeans.
