Spring Dress 3 Ways

I has been a minute since I posted a 3 ways to wear something (last time being this black dress) and I am following it with another dress, this time a print dress. I saw this dress on someone’s Instagram story I think and chose it in a polka dot pattern in blue. There are many colors to chose from and right now it is on sale for $25.99 which I think is what I paid.I really have been trying to find dresses that are versatile and can work for church and for play and that means I have to watch the neckline and skirt length. The ruffles are fun and the neckline is really pretty and I am quite pleased with the dress. I think this is my first successful dress purchase on Amazon.

With Leggings and Booties

The dress is a little short bare legged for church (and it is not spring yet) so to make it more appropriate for church, I added a pair of cropped white leggings, gem white cork Nickel and suede earrings and some tan booties. I typically buy my Nickel and Suede earrings when they are on sale as the earring of the month since they are not an inexpensive purchase.

I wore this for my new Goddaughter’s baptism and I felt very comfortable in it. I do love this blue color, it is so vibrant! There are ruffles at the sleeves, neckline and hem. They are just the right size too: not too overdone.

I actually had forgotten that this dress has pockets so I had my 10 year old take an extra picture. You can scroll down to the end and see some bloopers: he likes to take pictures of me looking weird.

With a Sweater and Boots

It’s all about making something work throughout the seasons! Add a sweater and some boots and you can wear this dress on a cooler day!

My mom gifted me these earrings for Christmas. They are a fun shape, like a feather and as light too. I can’t wait for this grass to turn green. It looks like dirt now!

With Sandals

It won’t be long till we can wear sandals. My choice was to do a simple print mixing with leopard earrings and sandals. I thought it would be fun. I am going to need a pedicure soon if this weather keeps up. It is pretty strange to have some weather in the 70s (I actually got bit by a mosquito!) but it might get cold again for a week or two. We sure are enjoying the sunshine and mild temps though.

I think the only negative thing I found with this skirt was that the skirt part seems to cling even when I was not wearing the leggings so a short slip helped with that.

Do you try to make your dresses work for different seasons? I am all about getting the most for my money so before pulling the tags off of something, I have been trying to try it with several things to make sure it is versatile and worthy of a space in my closet. I will leaving you with a laugh!

Love this dress on you! It’s such a beautiful shade of blue, and a happy, playful style. It looks like it is really versatile choice, too. I have not tried ordering clothing from Amazon, yet, but it’s tempting. A lot of bloggers seem to have good luck with it. Hope you have a good week!

Amazon is a hit and miss with dresses for me, I have better luck with other things but I always buy something someone I follow has bought and tried on so I have an idea of what it looks like in reality!

I like it best as a stand alone dress but think it’s a fun idea to look at pairing it with leggings or a sweater too. The outtakes are hilarious!

Oh, I need to share an outtake from yesterday’s pictures… I look like It from the Adams family!

My favorite is the sweater over the top of the dress – what a look ๐Ÿ™‚ I am terrible at just wearing dresses as they are and I tend to stick with the same shoes and accessories every time I wear a dress. You have motivated me to try and “switch it up”…Now I just have to find a sweater to go with one of my dresses if not I will have to buy a new dress too!

Hi, Mireille! This is such a fun print and colour – I like your different looks you’ve created. And it has pockets! Woo!

    Fun “bloopers” – ha ha!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Loved the last photos Mireille…so cute!!
I do know that feeling when the dress clings to the leggings. That’s one of the reasons I like the faux leather leggings too!!!
Love the dress and love how you made it so versatile.

Hello, cute dress! I wonder if this is the one you told me about. Thereโ€™s nothing better than a multi purpose piece. Your last photos are precious. And so cool that your 10 year old took them! Iโ€™ve had my grandsons take my photos occasionally
And I have had that sticky leg pro blue too which is why I never get rid of any of my slips.

    • mimifce

Exactly! I have one short and one long slip that I use for see through or dresses/skirts that cling.

  • Grace

Such a cute dress Mireille!! What a smart idea to layer it under the white sweater, I love that springy look. And it looks great with those super cute leopard sandal platforms, too. Love the blooper photos – taking pics is so hard, lol!

    Miles of smiles,

Thanks, Grace! Eventually it will warm up enough to wear sandals and then we will complain of the heat!

Love the outtake pics! this is such a cute dress too – I really like the ruffle detail and it is so versatile, you’ve worn it well all 3 ways! With the white knit is my favourite ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!
Hope you’re having a good weekend ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a relaxing and quiet one here.

I think this dress will be perfect in spring with all of the sandals. With the ruffle details it is one and done!

What an adorable dress, Mireille! Again, this shade of blue is so amazing on you! I really like all three ways that you styled this dress. The pattern mix with your leopard sandals is so fun! I was just checking this dress out on Amazon and I really like all of the colors and patterns. I am going to keep an eye on it, for sure. But I don’t think I need another darn thing in my closet right now!

Ha ha! I am working hard on not spending money on clothes this month and it is only the 8th! The 31st seems very far away but my budget needs the reset!

  • Ada Furxhi

First of all you and your blog both look great! This dress is soooo cute, what a great purchase from Amazon. I like it on its own but I also think it looks lovely with those white capri leggings. Loving all your earrings and the leopard wedges, too. =)

    • mimifce

Thanks, Ada! I wore those same earrings and sandals with a different dress today. And wore that dress yesterday with blush sneakers and earrings. I love it when I can come up with lots of different ideas to wear the same thing.
