Little Dresses for Many Occasions
With end of year events for the kids and some social outings for me, I thought it would be fun to wear some of my shorter dresses for these occasions and today, I am sharing a recap of those outfits with you. While a little black dress or a little white dress is a classic in everyone’s wardrobe, having a variety of dresses to wear for a dinner out or a school occasion creates some variety. Tennis Banquet I love red with turquoise and I have done the combo before with this dress, but using different accessories, so they was not a new idea, but was a great combo. Dresses…

Yellow for Spring: Daily Outfits
When I realized that yellow was a color that I wore a lot in the spring, I decided to do a round up of the outfits I wore. It appears that I like to combine yellow with blue a lot! These are all outfits I wore this spring. Here’s a perfect example of how I like to wear yellow. I played around with this thrifted sleeveless top and decided to be the boss of my clothes like Jodie always inspires us, and layered a shirt under. Since the sleeves usually give me a problem with not staying up, I used my Maggie Snaps (I think she went out of business),…

What to Wear on a Picnic
There is no right or wrong for what to wear on a picnic, and I have worn dresses, flowy pants and denim to eat outdoors in the past. For today’s post, I took inspiration from a picture on Pinterest that featured a neutral outfit similar to the one I am sharing today. I have several baskets and a tote that I use for picnics, but today, I wanted to use this wicker picnic basket I found at an antique shop last year. It took me about a year of searching to find one in the price range I wanted: I did not want to spend $40 for something I would…

Denim Jacket Alternative with Maxi Dress
When I originally planned my outfit for the botanical gardens earlier in April, I planned to wear a navy denim jacket with this dress. However, after reading Jodie’s post that week, I decided to change it up and wear this cardigan wrap my bestie made me on my visit to France in 2019. I love this wrap with its unique fabric, stretch and flow. The wrap was the inspiration for the accessories which were all in the tan family. The rose pendant necklace was a hand me down from my aunt and the feather leather earrings were a gift from my mom. This tote from Amazon is great for trips…

Mother’s Day Outfit: Gingham Dress
I always like to dress up a little for Mother’s Day and when I was thinking about what I would wear, this dress came to mind. I had not worn it yet at the time of these pictures, but paired with my little jacket, it would work for church. We moved in my parents with us a few weeks ago and are adjusting to our new routine and family dynamics. We created a haven on our 3rd floor for ourselves to have a space to chill and hang out when we want time apart. A movie room with a big screen and comfy couches and a new space for our…

What to Wear to a Fieldtrip
Since I only have one child in primary/elementary school, there are not too many more opportunities to go accompany one of my children on a Fieldtrip. Most of the fieldtrips are to the same places every year, so I pick and choose which to go to. Going to the strawberry farm to pick strawberries is my type of fun, so that was the occasion for this outfit. I usually try to wear something in the school’s colors on field trip or sports events. Our school colors are purple and gold. While I sometimes wear school sponsored clothes, I would rather wear something a little more interesting and fun from my…

Spring Wide Leg Pants Outfits
This is not the first time I have shared outfits with wide leg pants. Wide leg pants are one of my favorite ways to wear pants when it is too warm to wear jeans and I have curated a nice collection of them over the past few years. I did add 2 pairs last year when I was visiting Just Be Youtiful boutique in Arizona and I have reached for those probably the most. But I still love my other pairs too. Today, I am sharing some combinations I wore the past couple of months. Wow! This was a day where getting dressed brought me joy and I was glad…

An Outfit Inspired by one of Jennifer’s Dizis
This was another instance when I took pictures, added them to a blog but forgot to write the blog post itself before I pressed the publish button. I had to quickly schedule it for another day and post a different outfit blog on the day I had planned this one. Jennifer from Curated by Jennifer loves her dizis or Turkey soap operas and regularly recreated outfits she has seen on those shows. I recently wore my crochet vest, and she reached out with pictures from one of her dizis that she thought I could recreate. So today, I am sharing that outfit. While I am not in love with this…

Spring Skirt Outfits 2026
Every year, when I start switching out my wardrobe for spring and summer, I greet my summer skirts like long lost friends. Some do hang in my closet all year, however I like to put some away because they feel like new when I pull them out. And each year, I find new ways to wear them. Of course most of these get worn with tank tops a lot during the summer and I do repeat some outfits. But I am always surprised when I put together a new combination! Maxi in Purple One example is this outfit: have I never paired these 2 together? I don’t think so, but…

The Perfect Thrifted Denim Dress
There is a little place in town that holds different booths that each person rent: you can find furniture, boutique items, second hand items and some antiques. I like to visit it about once a month, sometimes in search of something in particular like a lamp and other times just for fun. I decided to stop by in March for a quick see even though I wasn’t planning to spend on clothes and came home with this dress and a belt buckle (for a total of $13). This was the perfect denim dress and here is why it is the perfect dress. The length is perfect: it can be worn…
