Camo Dress for $3

Attention getting title? A couple weeks ago, I received an email from Kohls with a $5 giftcard coupon for my birthday. I do not shop often at Kohls but if I do, I typically look at the clearance section. Coupon in hand, that is what I did: my goal was to find something interesting for a low price so I would not be much out of pocket.

To my pleasant surprise, I found this cute shirt dress in the Juniors clearance section for $8. I wasn’t sure it would work as it was size small and I usually size up one or two in juniors but I tried it on with a few other items. I was so glad when it worked out: $3 out of pocket!

I wore it the following day running errands and driving to our weekend rental in Ellijay, GA. I always forget how short of a drive it is to go to the North Georgia mountains. While the decks could have used some updates, the house we rented was really cute and decorated in farmhouse style. We got a couple of ideas for our house.

I have never seen so many deer in a weekend: they came to our yard and about each time we rode our car we would see groups of them. I paired the dress with these casual white sneakers and wore the belt that came with it. I could switch the belt for a white one or wear it without one. I can see this dress work for fall and winter with leggings, boots and a layer. Definitely a great buy!

I love this pretty door! It’s a nice background contrast. I always enjoy time away from the house but I always love coming back home. I am always a little tired from our vacations whether they are a week long or a weekend long. It is just easier to be home with our own beds, entertainment and outdoor space. We also spend less money on food. Now that birthdays are over for another month and half (we had 3 birthdays and an anniversary within 2 weeks) I plan to refocus and reset! I have lost my way again this past month with my budget and how I spend my time. I need a little more creativity in the kitchen and I need to get back on track with exercising too. The past month included family visiting, me babysitting my niece for a a week and I have been frazzled and out of whack. It’s been fun but now it’s time to plan my days better, make sure to plan chores, meals, exercise but also not forget to include my prayer time and me time. I haven’t done that in a month I feel like!

A bientĂ´t!
