Booties with the Ageless Style Link Up
Welcome to our November Ageless Style Link Up where we show you that style has no age! This month, Bo shows the theme of booties! Since I have not shopped in a month, I decided to share one of my favorite pairs of booties I picked up last year at Target when they had their 20% off sale on boots. I have quite a few pairs of booties probably because I really enjoy fall and there are so many styles. These are my only patterned ones and I mostly wear them with pants and the occasional skirt.
I wasn’t sure how much I would wear a pair of snakeskin booties but they sure give a lot of style to an outfit! I have trying to wear more than just skinny jeans silhouettes so I decided to style my wide leg denim for fall. I thought the lower shaft of these booties with the side cut out worked well with this cut.
I usually pair something more fitted with these jeans but again I wanted to try something a little different. I picked this Loft sweater a year ago during their end of summer sale. I like the slouchy fit and of course the color! A little front tuck gave it some shape and a long pendant broke the plainness of the front. I do like the knit on this one. I never wore my white one that was more fitted and had more feminine details at the collar and sleeve. Funny how certain details sometimes are just not us!
This was a nice fall day and I took advantage of my oldest’s half day to get two sets of blog pictures taken. I have taken pictures here many times. They actually rake the leaves every so often so there weren’t as many as I had hoped in these pictures but it still give the scenery a nice fall vibe. I do love fall!
We’ve been playing more games lately! On this day, my oldest taught us a new card game that we played more about an hour and a half. I wish I had made a nice warm soup for dinner that night. I am usually not a soup person but lately with the cooler air, I am craving some chunk soups. We had some pasta and shrimp that night: it did the job of feeding us but sure didn’t satisfy that feeling. Eating a hot bowl of soup wrapped in a blanket on the porch kind of sounds like a great fall thing to do!
Here is a little close up of the boots: they really make me think of real snakeskins like that in the leaves with their pointy toe! They are quite comfortable: I did really well last year with the boots/booties I added to my closet: they are all in regular rotation in my outfits.

Mireille, this outfit is so adorable! I love this lavender color on you and the slouchy sweater with the wide jeans is really super cute! I like the style of your snakeskin booties, too. Very cool. I didn’t think I would get much wear out of snakeskin booties either but they have proven to be really quite versatile.

Thanks, Shelbee. I tried to come up with something a little different and it sure was comfortable.

You just find the prettiest places to pose. This area reminds me of some of the pretty Civil War battlefields we explored a few years ago. Really like your snakeskin booties. Prefer yours over mine. The toes on mine are so pointy that I trip over things catching them on furniture and throw rugs. You sure where your crop pants well too. I tried mine on again yesterday and they are headed to Goodwill. Wish I looked like you in yours.

Oops, that is not good if your booties make you trip! It has taken me a minute to get used to the wide leg jeans but if I wear the right top and shoes I really like them. The shoes for me with them makes a big difference!

Love the color and style of the sweater! The front tucking looks great with the wide leg jeans! It’s been a while since I’ve cooked a soup, but planning on putting one onto next week’s meal plan. It’s just that time of the year!

Thanks, Ellie! The color is a nice change in my closet.

Nicely put together outfit, Mireille! Your statement jewelry and booties really elevate the look. It is amazing how versatile a neutral print like snakeskin can be. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Di! It was fun trying a different look!

I love snakskin prints. I have a pair of shoes. They work with everything xx

They sure are more versatile than I expected.

I love the soft color of that top, the looser fit of the jeans and those snakeskin booties are so cute!

I love that you are stepping out and trying new things, like the wide leg jeans! I’ve been debating getting into the wide leg jeans but I rarely have the opportunity to wear jeans so I don’t update them very oftern. Love the snakeskin booties, I find they are a lot more nuteral than I thought they would be.
What game did your son teach you? We love games too, although the kids aren’t playing them with us as much as they did when they were a bit younger.

I’ve been trying to figure out what I do like to try and what I won’t try again. I bought a couple of different cuts in jeans and have enjoyed them. I am still going through some of my tops that I think I will donate. Have my eye for a few things in the new year.

I truly do like this outfit on you! I know people say you shouldn’t wear loose over loose, but I think you look lovely! Those booties are definitely fun!

I really enjoyed it. No often that I do wear 2 loose things like that but it sure was comfy!
Joanne
I like the wide legged jeans with the slouchy sweater too! It looks both stylish and comfy. I know you have gotten lots of use out of those boots and they are super fun when paired with this outfit.
mimifce
Thanks, Joanne! I have worn those boots quite a lot and even better when I bought them last year I got them 20% off.
Mica
I really like that pastel knit on you and you accessorised it well with the neckalce! I always feel so lost without a necklace, I wear them constantly, haha!
These ankle boots are cute too and the cropped jeans show them off well!
Hope that your week is going well and you have a nice weekend planned ahead 🙂
mimifce
I actually don’t wear necklaces much apart from my cross. Interesting week so far. Getting ready for a trip and had to leave my car at the shop today. An expense I hadn’t planned but better to be safe on the roads!
jodie filogomo
I really like them with the wider leg jeans Mireille. And snakeskin is one of my favorites because they seem like a more subtle print. Yet I’m in shock you don’t have a leopard pair….yet!!!

What a cute look. I love that cozy sweater. You styled your booties fabulously! I bought a pair of snakeskin booties and considered wearing them for this challenge too. I don’t wear mine hardly at all. I don’t know why, I don’t feel that comfortable in them.
mimifce
I have been considering mine a neutral and wear them fairly often.
Lucy Bertoldi
I love anything animal print- such a neutral that goes with absolutely everything! Your booties are so cute!!
mimifce
Thanks, I have been surprised I often i reach for them.
Daenel T.
Such a cute outfit. I really like those boots. I have a pair of snake print combat boots that I bought on a whim and have only worn once or twice, but I love them so much. Maybe a lavendar sweater like yours would look cute with them?
mimifce
Oh, that sounds like a really cool pair. Don’t think I have seen any combat boots in snakeskin print!
Jill
This is such a pretty outfit! I love your wide leg jeans and those booties are fabulous!

This purple is beautiful! A great color for Fall that doesn’t get used as often as it should.
mimifce
Thanks, Alexandra. I don’t wear often enough.
