Coastal Chic: 4 outfits to Inspire You

You either love the coastal chic/coastal grandmother trend or you hate it! It’s been fun to read different bloggers take on it the past few months. I love how we each have our own style of fashion and our particular likes or dislikes. I enjoy wearing a variety of styles and outfits sometimes enjoying bright outfits and sometimes choosing neutrals. So in all honesty, I love this trend! I remember watching Something’s Gotta Give and admiring Diane Keaton’s beach chic style. I love outfits that still are relevant and classic after many years. In this post, I am sharing an outfit I wore running earrands as well as several others putting a twist on it.

Classy Tan and White

I did succumb to buying a few things in June but the only full price item was this pair of tan linen pants from Target. I first tried on the pair of white linen pants but they were see through and I had more than enough white in my closet. I am wearing size XS and they are long so I have to wear heels with them.

I thought my Spanish straw tote fit well with this outfit. While I wore this grocery shopping, this outfit would be perfect for the Farmer’s Market or a walk on the beach.

I chose some white accessories: my white Nickel and Suede earrings and a cuff from LDwatkins Designs. I love my pink aviator sunglasses. Since I broke a pair of sunglasses, I will be on the lookout for another fun pair.

Coastal Layers

My cardigan wrap was perfect to top this outfit. I love how it flows. You can see all of these looks in action on my Instagram feed in a reel.

I am definitely taking this whole outfit on our Thanksgiving trip to the beach! It gets cool enough for layers and I am sure I will find a couple other ones to pair with the pants.

Another look at my basket: I love the long straps and that it has a zipper so things do not fall out. It was a souvenir bought while we were in Catalunia, Spain in 2019.

Coastal chic with Blue

You have seen my little purse from IdeasValyen a few times now. I have worn it most summer since meeting with Yenni and shopping her litle kiosk in the Painted Tree Boutiques in Snellville.

My blue top was thrifted a couple of years ago I think and the banded waist makes it practical as I can adjust its length.

I think a rust top would be really pretty with these tan pants in the fall and maybe some boots or booties? As long as it is not too cold, these linen pants will work till mid fall.

Here is a close up of my purse: it has become one of my favorites for sure.

Casual Coastal Chic

This is my most casual outfit with these pants. It is probaly my least favorite but it still works. It is not as chic as the other looks but still gives me some coastal vibes.

I wonder if my white sneakers would add enough height with these pants: they might have looked good with this outfit.

So what are you thoughts on this trend? Do you like it and wear it?
