How to Wear Denim and Camo

Like the question about what shoes to pair with a denim dress, the answer of how to wear denim and camo together is to just do it any way you like it! You could wear denim on top and camo on the bottom or do the opposite. I always think of camo as a neutral (it really pairs well with florals and with stripes) as long as it is done tastefully. Today I am sharing two looks with the denim shirt dress which I won in a giveaway last month and shared it in this blog post recently.

Denim Duster with Camo

We took these pictures on a bright morning our first fall Saturday with perfectly blue skies and temperatures in the mid 60s. It was lovely!

I don’t think I had ever paired brown with camo (I don’t have much brown in my closet) so I wore a sleeveless eyelet tank top and tried to reflect the color in my pair of shoes: a pair of open toe booties.

The shirt dress has functional button so I was excited to try it as a duster. I really like the sleeve length as it warm up midday in early fall.

I was surprised at how sunny it was and we really had to work to make the pictures work. They are still too bright for my taste but we still enjoyed the scenery. I wore my boho purse I found at a local boutique years ago and it was perfect to carry my change of shoes.

I haven’t seen to many wedge sneakers around lately but I still love mine and will be wearing them this fall. This camo pair is fun with the higher wedge and easy to walk in.

You should have seen be switching clothes in the open: thankfully no one was around and it wasn’t to difficult as I transformed the duster back into a dress first and this time the ground was fairly dry for changing shoes. I’ve gotten muddy before doing this.

This particular Saturday was a day to catch up on things so we need to plan a fun family day here soon with a picnic. I am thinking of going to the nearby fall festival with corn maze and fun farm activities soon. We will see if I can get everyone excited to go!

All this tall grass will soon be bales of hay. We will have to return for more blog pictures and hopefully more of an overcast day! It was so nice to be able to take pictures though without being hot and the boys has a lot of fun running around and singing made up songs.
