Tweed Mini Skirt Dressed Up
Once again, I didn’t realize how windy it was until my son and I arrived at the location for our photos. So my hair and earrings are a little wild in some of these pictures. I purchased this tweed mini in December on the clearance rack at Tjmaxx. I was attracted by the texture of the skirt and the two little buttons on the front pockets. December saw me finding many pieces with fun fabrics and texture.
Since I do not have any tights (I need to remedy that at some point), I usually wear a pair of leggings under a short skirt if I want extra warmth and coverage. I have been shopping my closet all month until last week and I really had fun with that!
I need to make sure to show how cute the little buttons are on the front of the skirt when I share it next time with a casual look! I envision sneakers with it but not sure what else yet! My large earrings are made by someone local and are made from doilies. It’s pretty amazing how people are creative.
Half the fun of taking pictures is finding cool spots to take pictures and this 1903 courhouse is pretty impressive with its large columns and stairs. I am very grateful that my son doesn’t mind taking pictures for me because this would be difficult with a tripod.
I’ve been wearing this purse for few weeks now. It is a year or two old but I wasn’t sure if it still had add a place in my closet. After wearing it for a while, I remembered why I purchased it. While almost as large as a tote, it is much more structured and with a few zippered pouches in it, it really stays organized.
I plan to wear this on a date with my husband before the end of the month! We just have to put it on our schedule. This time, no axe throwing, probably just dinner!
A bientôt!

What a lovely outfit! I never think of grabbing my leggins to wear under skirts/dresses but that would definitely make me more likely to wear skirts/dresses in the winter!

They help for warmth!

They’ve held up very well since I don’t wear them very often. Some of my Target shoes have been great ones.

I love that you grabbed leggings with the skirt. Might as well wear what we have. I have a skirt like this and I’m always a fan of tweed.

Yes, until I do pick up a pair of tights, my leggings will work!

I think you should wear mini skirts and off the shoulder tops as often as possible because you are stunning in them! I really like the skirt with the high boots, too! I really need to scout out some places to take photos. We went to the park today, but the area I wanted to use was blocked off. There are some neat murals, but they’re right on Main Street. I just need to suck it up and go!

It is fun to get some different backdrops for pictures. I saw those pictures at the park: very nice!

What a great find! I love tweed and now you have me thinking about wearing mine in the near future here. This pairs so well with the light lilac of your shirt and I love how the off the shoulders look makes it just a bit more casual. I’ve been paused on any new purchases all of January except that I did buy a shirt to make for our Kindness link-up in February. Have a great week.

That is a really fun spot for photos! Your outfit is so cute! I love tweed. It looks like you hit the jackpot with this skirt on clearance!
mimifce
Thank you! Yes, it sometimes pays to check the clearance at TJmaxx.

What a super cute skirt- the buttons are such a great touch!
And I agree- the wind can be so annoying! I’ve actually moved shoot dates based on the projected wind speeds, haha. It’s just too hard with all my crazy hair when the winds are 15 mph+!
New post is up featuring a super cozy shacket, hope you’ll stop by!

You definitely have more hair to deal with on windy days. Could make for some really funny pictures!
