A New Year’s or Date Outfit for the Sunday Showcase

I decided to go ahead and post the Sunday Showcase today since the 1st is tomorrow. Today, I am sharing an outfit I wore to church and to stop by a friend’s Christmas brunch after, but I think this look would be perfect for any special event in the winter. I think it would be pretty for a New Year’s Party with fancier shoes or a date night. I love it when I wear something in real life and decide to share it here on the blog too because I loved it so much.

I thrifted this Vince Camuto dress for less than $10 in Chattonooga last winter and it was just missing the matching belt which I probably would not have worn with it. I paired it with a newer pair of western boots I found at Belk. I had been looking for grey boots and booties for the past 2 to 3 years since mine were not wearable anymore. I found two pairs and was very excited: there are times when a grey pair of boots just would work better than any other color.

The dress has a little bit of a dramatic flair with fun sleeves: I didn’t take a picture of them with my arms lifted up but you can see them on my reel on IG. The belt holes allow you to choose different belts to pair with it and I chose this grey one that came in a set of 4 on Amazon.

I have been purging earrings: my style has changed lately and I am enjoying more dainty and feminine pieces. I have been dividing my days between wearing dangly ones and small ones. These were a gift from a friend a few years ago.

This sweater dress is very comfortable and lightweight enough to wear on a cool winter day. I do like that it is short sleeves as winter in Georgia can be cold or mild. This is a great option instead of a chunky sweater dress.

I think this is a reminder to get out there and go thrifting soon: I really haven’t much in the past 4 months and there are some gems out there waiting for me!
