Cozy October with the Ageless Style Link Up

Cozy October… That is the theme for the Ageless Style Link Up this month and while I dream of warm layers, I still have to take into account how the temperatures change throughout the day in Georgia in early fall. So yes, I can do some layers, but they have to be light layers and they have to be strategic. I love a sweatshirt with a pair of shorts and that is one way to be cozy in the cool mornings and evenings.

I love my morning coffee on the porch and as it cools off, I start bringing a blanket out. This one is the softest I have and my kids love it! October sees me wearing sneakers most days. This cute suede pair was a pair I saw in the kids section at Ross. I loved it so much, I ended up ordering them online (full price) in my size (kid size 5.5). Worth it for me: I have been wearing them about once a week for the last 2 months.

This sweatshirt is very lightweight but it is very soft! I think this will be perfect by the fire, on the beach and of course in my egg chair! I do a lot of my blog work from this chair.

I am sure cozy October looks very different further north: one day I would like to move a little further north where there is more defined seasons and summers that are not so hot and humid. This is definitely far in the future as I hope to have all of the kids graduate from our local school system here.

I have quite a collection of sweatshirts: about half of mine are thrifted and there is one that I need to remember to wear soon. I haven’t worn it since I thrifted it a few months ago: it is a little thicker and it hasn’t gotten that cold.

What is your definition of cozy in the fall? Is it cozy socks, sweatpants, or is it the feel of a fabric? Or maybe the definition of cozy for you is a warm cardigan to wear with any and everything. I think for me it has to do with comfort and the softness of a layer.
