Thrifted Ruffle Skirt: 3 Ways

Today, I am sharing some outfit inspiration with a skirt I thrifted a couple of months ago. I had found myself mainly wearing my light colored denim skirt, so when I noticed this one while thrifting I tried it on and immediately liked the stretchy denim and fun hem. The length is great for color days, but the skirt is definitely apppropriate year round. Of course, each idea shared here can be applied to any denim skirt: the purpose of these post is to encourage you to shop your closet for new combinations!

With a light neutral

I have a couple of tan sweaters and tops (well, a lot more than a couple!), but I choose this heavier chunky sweater as I was doing a rotation of all of my sweaters! The knit is somewhat loose so while warm, I was not overheating at church. I have had the boots for several years now and love how dressy the heel makes them feel. Both the sweater and boots were purchased at Target. I continued the tan tone with my earrings!

Edgy Vibe

Do you have a leather (or faux leather) jacket or a moto jacket? Add it to your denim skirt with some black boots or even combat boots and you have an outfit with an edgy vibe. I didn’t get to take the pictures of this outfit, but I am sure you can envision it!

Cozy Vibe

If you have a wrap or even a large scarf, add it to a turtle neck or warm sweater and you have an outfit with a definite cozy and comfy vibe. This is another older pieces from Target and I always forget how warm and cozy this wrap is. I have worn it over dresses, denim and other pieces in my closet. I like to wear all of my boots in winter, so this time I wore these cognac ones. They are one of my favorite because of the back detail and low heel.
