Styling Velvet Joggers: Casual Fit -

I hadn’t worn my velvet joggers since last year, so I decided it was time to share some casual outfit inspiration with them. I wore the first outfit and a variation of the cardigan one since I took the pictures. You could easily replicate these ideas with any joggers but also with any textured pants. These would be great ideas to try with faux leather. Now what is fun is that I have another 5 ways to wear them in this post from 2022! I also shared a fun festive outfit with them in a post last year here and with a pretty festive top at the end of this post here.

Thrifted Cropped Plaid topper and tee

To find some inspiration for some new casual looks with my velvet joggers, I turned to Pinterest. I very quickly found 5 ideas that I could replicate from my closet. I thought this outfit would be a great way to wear this little plaid topper for the first time.

Long Tan Cardigan

Our weather alternates between mild and cold days, so this outfit is appropriate for many of our winter days. I won’t wear the white sneakers on really cold days or rainy days, but otherwise they work year round. I love the coziness of this long cardigan and I have also worn it as a dress once or twice.

Heels and Denim Jacket

I realized as I wrote this post that all of these outfits mostly have neutral tones. The red in the shoes is actually quite a lot brighter than in this picture as you can see in this past post.

With a Sweater

The inspiration picture for this look used a bright red sweater, but mine finally made it to the donation bin and I did not like the proportions of the outfit. I also tried a cropped turquoise, but I did not like the cropped fitted look. This cropped sweater was the perfect fit (I sure sound like Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears, don’t I).

Casual and Dressy at the same time

I thrifted the little red clutch a couple months ago. The bright red caught my eye. It has a circle wooden detail that is hidden by my hand. I really like this comfy all black look!

I think it is so funny how my boys love them! The softness of velvet is just fun and I am glad I am wearing them on more than just holidays.

    I love how soft it is and most of my pieces (my skirts) are really old and have held up well.

  So cute. Love how versatile your velvet joggers are. Just right for running errands in this in-between weather. But very chic for date night. Really like those icy blue tennies too.

I love how in certain lights you can see the texture of the joggers. Otherwise, they appear like knit ones.

Yes, you can’t tell that they are velvet really unless you touch them or the light reflects a certain way.

Oh, I really love these with the red pumps! They are really versatile being velvet. I finally bought some this summer, but they’re really casual!

I have all kinds of joggers but I don’t wear most anymore unless on the weekend. I like that these are a little more elevated.
