Combat Boots and Olive Utility Jacket 2025 Look

Combat boots and utility jackets have made a come back every couple of years and I have enjoyed the trend throughout the years. I love adding that more masculine or edgy piece to an outfit, especially when it create a little dichotomy. When putting together today’s outfit, I tried to add elements to make it current by choosing a pair of denim that is trending: the cuffed straight jeans.

I have had several olive utility jackets over the years, never settling on one that I loved. Most I wear for a couple of years before donating them, the problem usually being the size or one that was too trendy. I founnd this one while thrifting and I knew it would be one that I wouldn’t tire of because it fit me just the right way and it has one of my favorite elements: embroidery. It was originally from Loft.

As I mentioned, I wanted to keep the look current, so I chose my jeans accordingly. I have add these for a few years now, before big cuffs made a comeback. So keep those items you like in your closet, whether they are particularly trendy or not: they will most likely make a comeback and you might be able to change them a little if they look dated. For example, I had these cuffed under for a year or two when I didn’t like the cuff.

My combat boots are old and from Target: I have enjoyed the fur detail on cold days: it give them that extra cozy factor. They are also very comfortable.

Last, I am wearing a embellished 3/4 tee that my friend gave me a couple years ago: I always forget it, but it drapes really well and makes a pretty statement with the sequins.
