Christmas Look: All the Textures for the Sunday Showcase
I am excited to wear some fun holiday looks this month: I think I might do a week of Hallmark movie inspired looks on IG. It’s just fun to pull out all the velvet, the tulle and pretty colors. I have my eye on a couple pieces with sequins at TJmaxx if they still have them when I stop by the store. Today’s look started with this fun sweater I bought at Cato’s fashion last year on the clearance rack.
The fun texture, the silver color, the bow caught my eye and while I didn’t wear it last year, I plan to wear it Christmas eve this year and maybe also on New Year’s eve (we always stay home on New Year’s eve, but it would still be fun to wear it.
The silver Nickel and Suede earrings and my booties are fairly old. I found these velvet joggers either last year or the year before at Kohls. I have developed a love of fun textures for the winter months of December and January. And velvet is so cozy!
The joggers have pockets! Why do we women like pockets? I, for one like them for pictures: it gives me another place to put my hands!
I just realized I have not worn these velvet joggers with sneakers: maybe I should come up with an outfit to wear soon with them. Wouldn’t a pair of blingy sneakers look fun with them?
I am looking forward to sharing a holiday dressy look with my red tulle skirt: I plan to take those pictures downtown by the Christmas tree. At the time of these pictures, my fall decor was still out, so I made do with the neighbor’s cypress trees. Do you like to dress up in December even if you have no special parties to go to?

Love this outfit on you with all the textures! The textures really add a festive feel, and these pieces will be very versatile during the holiday season and beyond. Mireille, this outfit is so pretty and festive and it looks super cozy! I love the idea of a casual cozy dressup outfit for holidays at home.
