Tulle overlay: Whimsical Style

A few weeks ago, when I visited Jodie for a weekend, we enjoy a day of thrifting and shopping. The boutique we stopped by was Just be You-Tiful and I had a ball spending most of my fun money there. Since it was after we had thrifted, I knew that I didn’t have a budget, I could spend the rest of my cash there. That is kind of a fun and freeing experience: I found some really fun pieces, one of which is this tulle overlay.

This might look like a skirt, but it isn’t. It does not have a lining so you do have to wear a skirt (or jeans, or leggings, a dress) under which really will be a fun adventure for me to style again and again. It also is like a dress so you could wear it under a dress or a skirt to give it more poof. Here is Kym’s website Just Be Youtiful and store. I wore a thrifted pencil skirt underneath which I have had for quite a while which I also just styled recently for the Ageless Style link up. The wrap top was gifted last year from Clara SunWoo and my sandals or OkaB. I added a summery purse that from Valerie Avenue.

One of the daughter’s of a friend at church loves to wear tulle dresses, so I made sure to mention to her that I think of her anytime I wear a tulle piece. She actually was wearing a cute little tulle dress that Sunday. Another friend told me my skirt made her think of a fairy. I really love the whimsical feeling tulle gives me. And the waterfall style always makes me want to sashay.

I do like winter and spring layers, but it sure is fun to not have to wear layers either. I am an equal opportunity gal with my clothes! I love my jeans, I love my skirts and dresses, it sure is fun to play dress up everyday and color brings a smile to my face.

I probably wouldn’t have dreamed of wearing tulle 10 years ago, but here I am! I am loving it!
