Monochromatic Beige: across the decades

Early this month, I was privileged to spend a weekend with Jodie and her husband Rob in Arizona. Feeling the stress of helping care for elderly family members earlier this year, I knew I needed to take some time to recharge, have a little fun and the first place and person that came to mind was Jodie and Arizona. Jodie is as genuine in person as she is on her blog and IG, and it was a delight to get to know her and her husband better. I rested, I laughed, I met her mom Charlotte and Lesley, I saw many cactus (that I shared in some post a couple of weeks back) and had a fun day of shopping. We decided on 2 photo shoots before I came and today, we are sharing some beige monochromatic looks. So please, do not forget to stop by her blog to see the looks you can partially see below!

All photo credits go to Rob Filogomo, Jodie’s husband. By the way, I was so amazed at how fast and professional Jodie and the “gals” were: they had their poses ready, quarter turns at a time and it didn’t take but moments to shoot their pictures. I felt a little more awkward, but Rob did an amazing job with me as a model.

My first day in Arizona was pretty chilly, so Jodie let me borrow her beige sneakers (she actually took them off her feet and chose a different beige pair of shoes for herself). I was very thankful because my toes would have frozen in the flip flops I had chosen to bring. I was trying to pack minimally so I would have space to bring back all kinds of thrifted treasures.

My linen pants are old from Target and my crochet sweater, a recent buy from Francesca’s. I am wearing a bodysuit under for coverage. I really like this crochet sweater with the scalloped hem and the fun shape of the sleeves.

I love these earrings made from dominoes: I have been adding interesting earrings to my collection and these are a souvenir (just like my half butterfly ones you have seen before) from our vacation to New Orleans last year.

Again, you have seen this cute little crossbody bag on the blog several times. It’s one of those fun surprise find in a gift shop, this time in the clearance section of Cracker Barrel. I do not remember how much it cost, but I know it was under $20.

You can see Jodie’s sneakers in more details in the picture above. I love the material they were made of which was not your typical canvas. And they were tan just like my pants!

Stop by Jodie’s post now to see the complete outfits of her crew!

A bientôt!
