Fuzzy with the Ageless Style Link Up
It it always fun to see what the girls will chose for the month for our link up and today it is time to talk about fuzzy clothes. I love how clothes have different texture: smooth silk, soft velvet, fuzzy fur. I decided to share how I would transition a winter look with my thrifted fuzzy furry vest.
Winter Look
This first look I wore to church at the end of January. My thrifted white boots have been a pair of shoes that I reach for often: they are just plain fun to wear. The fleece lined tights kept me warm and of course, so did the vest.
I don’t love the tights with the dress and white boots, but I like the look well enough. I really do like this dress though: I won it in a giveaway.
Spring Look
One of my favorite ways to transition an outfit into spring is to change my footwear. Exchanging my boots for sneakers and baring my legs announces that the weather is getting warmer!
It can still be cold in March and April so a sleeveless layer like this furry vest can be a good choice to stay warm. Because there are no sleeves, you would not overheat.
I originally had planned to wear the outfit above without the tights and I probably would have liked it better that way. It was not a very cold winter day, so a pair of socks with the boots would have been sufficiently warm.
I am excited to see how the Ageless ladies are sporting some fuzzy textures! Next month’s theme is graphic tees and there is talk about a spring giveaway!

This is such a great look! I love it both ways actually and I’ve been scouring Marketplace to find a second hand pair of white cowboy boots like these ones. Love how you paired them with this dress. Also, that vest is such a great addition, elevating the outfit. I think you nailed it!

Thanks, Bo! I was trying to figure out what to wear for this month’s theme that kind of would work for March in the south.

Such a cute spring look. The vest adds that extra layer of warmth we need this time of year.

Exactly! Today is one of those days where I can’t figure out my layers: it was cold but not bad earlier so I didn’t wear my denim jacket, but now it is windy and cooling down. Guess I do need it after all.

Oh I just love that vest so much! It does make a great transition piece for that in-between weather.

When I thrifted it, there was a black one, but it was way to big for me.

Love this look!! I would never have thought to do that! It’s really fun with both boots and sneakers!

Thanks, Marsha! I really like it better with the sneakers than the boots, but I am glad I included both. I think my problem is my hair, lol, it was wash day and that is distracting me!
Jill
That is such a cute vest! Love both outfits but spring is my favorite! A dress and sneakers is my go-to!

Of course, i’m super glad that you love those white boots as much as I love mine.
And that vest is fabulous.
Great idea to showcase the outfit for 2 different temperatures.

This vest + boots combination is terrific! The neutral colors of the vest definitely give it versatility, and the color gives it a fall/winter/spring seasonal range easily as well.

Thanks, Sally! It’s always fun to find different ways to wear things especially on those weird transitional weather days.

I can see how your fuzzy gilet is the perfect piece most seasons of the year. A great layer. I absolutely LOVE the dress, a fantastic win!

I love how effortlessly you took this look from winter to spring. The white sneakers are so good! It’s feeling like spring in KC this weekend and I’m excited for lighter, brighter outfits!

LOVE IT!! That vest is so cute. I would wear that all day long!! But I wouldn’t be clever enough to pair it with a dress. Just precious. Thinking it would be cute with a maxi dress or skirt, now, too. I am (frustratingly) pretty big-chested and always feel self-conscious about having too much bulk across my chest. This vest looks light enough that it would lay fairly flat and not make me look just that much bustier. I am all about western-flavored everything and this vest is right up my alley. Thanks for the inspiration.

You know, I think you are right! I will have to try it with a maxi next year and a long skirt too! My chest isn’t small either lol!
