I really enjoy Jodie’s (Jtouchofstyle) weekly outfit share on Saturdays because it is real life and often gives me some inspiration for outfits of my own. This week’s outfits are very varied once again and several were inspired by some of the IG ladies I follow. White Dress and Lavender Fields
When you have an idea that works, you use it again. Last year, the boys and I went to a local lavender field and took some pictures. I did donate the white dress from that post this year as I really don’t think that is what very becoming and I didn’t want to wear it anymore. Patriotic Looks to Be Inspired By
Even though, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day have gone by, I thought I would share some inspiration for patriotic looks that you can wear any day of the year or bookmark to be inspired by for some outfits next summer. World of Coca Cola
Back in the spring, my best friend from college came to spend her spring break in Atlanta with her family. Our boys are really close in age and we hadn’t seen here in a couple of years, so we were excited to hang out with her and her family. We went to Six Flags one day and the Georgia Aquarium. Summer Outfit for the Zoo
What do you wear for an outdoors summer outing? Anything that is comfortable and breathable: for me that is a skirt on the shorter side and a simple tee. I could have easily worn a tank top, but I am trying to make sure to wear everything in my closet, so I picked this thrifted Talbots skirt and a soft tee in a similar color scheme. What do you consider a splurge item?
When Marsha suggested this theme, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone considered a splurge item. I do have a few pieces in my closet that cost more than this dress, but I have shared them several times on the blog such as my New Orleans skirt or my “real” cowboy boots.
