Summer Bucket List

With 2 months of summer time ahead of us the boys and I sat down to make a list of ideas of activities/places they would like to do. Of course, they came up with a list that could be quite hard on the budget so we will not do everything on their list but will try to hit one activity for each child. To save money we will use the Atlanta City pass because the zoo and the GA aquarium are included in it and we can visit the World of Coca Cola and maybe one more thing to get our money’s worth out of the pass.

Our summer bucket list

  • bowling
  • GA aquarium
  • IKEA
  • Atlanta Zoo
  • Stone Mountain
  • Mini golf
  • Braves game
  • Tennessee Aquarium
  • geocaching
  • Atlanta Mural hunt with my friends and our kids!

Pool time

Our neighborhood has a pool so we will head there most days either in around 10 am or 4 pm.

Electronics

To limit electronics, the boys will only be able to play on the wii, the computer or their tablets during the baby’s nap which coincides with the hottest part of the day. I think I will set up several stations for different days of the week: boys will go outside after breakfast when the heat is bareable.

Outside time

  • bubble creativity (create your solution or your own wand)
  • chalk
  • trampoline
  • outdoor riding toys
  • corn hole
  • obstacle courses
  • bean bag toss
  • minute to win it games
  • water slide
  • water balloons

Snacks

We will make smoothies, popsicles and other fun snacks a few times a week.

Playtime

Of course these daily activities will be on the days we are not going on one of our fun outings. We will end the summer with a roadtrip to Misssouri to visit two of my friends. And yes, I will not spend the day entertain my children, they will have to use their imaginations and use our toys, game and art supplies to have fun on their own!
