Pinterest Inspired Outfits Shopped from my Closet

Every so often, I pin a few new outfits to my Outfit from my Closet board on Pinterest. Typically, I come across them while I am searching for a recipe, but sometimes I do a specific search using tag words. Today’s 4 outfits had been pinned over time and I decided to see if there were any ideas I had not worn from my board. I love Pinterest for helping me create new combinations and inspiring me to go no further than my closet.

Olive Base with striped Shirt

I played around with the shirt a little to try to make a higher knot, so my son had to take a second picture of my outfit later that day. I am curious as to whether that shirt came knotted like that. It’s a fun look! While I like this combo, I am not sure I would want to mess around with the knot.

Wide Leg Flowy Pants and Chambray

I decided to omit the belt in my outfit as it would be less comfortable for the travel day I wore it. We decided to take a short overnight trip on our winter break (just 2 hours away) to visit an underground cavern and lake. I have worn my chambray shirts a lot the last 2 years: thrifting two that fit the way I wanted took a while, but now they are both workhorses in my closet!

Crochet Skirt and Denim Jacket

This was an outfit I pinned last year and have been wanting to wear! I absolutely love it and it was so fun to have pieces that are similar in my closet! I love the boho/western vibes! I did switch my boots for some other ones for church as it was the Sunday before lent and I knew I need some comfortable wear for our Forgiveness Vespers service . My Chico thrifted skirt is really fun with the fringe and I pulled out wooden and turquoise pieces for my accessories.

Denim Vest, Grey Tee and Black Denim

This is such a simple outfit, but I needed Pinterest to tell me to combine all of these basics together! I loved it! My mom said I was dressed for summer because of the short sleeves and the sandals, but it was perfect for the weather we had. All 3 pieces I am wearing are thrifted and my jewelry was second hand. My Guess purse was a birthday gift and my Blowfish sandals are still going strong after 3 or 4 years. I love it when my outfit comes together like this: effortless, comfortable and it really makes me confident.
