Green Maxi Skirt Outfits
I always find it interesting how you see a piece of clothing on a model, and you either like it or not, then you see in on a “real person” and you like it better and then you try it for yourself and you either do like it or not. It is definitely a hit and miss especially when you are shipping online and cannot try clothes till after you have paid for them. While I have not been successful much with finding dresses online that fit me well (I have had some good laughs with some things from Amazon), I was pretty successful with my skirts from SheIn (3 out of 4 were winners). Many of you have seen this skirt on my Instagram and also when I share it in a couple of my posts. Because I love the color and the cut of this skirt so much, I wanted to share a few outfits with it. None of these outfits are earth shattering in their concepts but they do show the awesomeness of having different kinds of denim jackets!
Green and Navy
This bench and background are such a nice setting for pictures! In the past I do not think I would have thought of pairing navy with green but navy is such a great neutral that it really matches well with a variety of colors. I have seen several bloggers using this combination and that is how this outfit was born. Since the weather is still fairly mild, adding my navy 3/4 sleeves jacket was a no brainer and I like the structure it give to the outfit. My sandals are my Madewell sandals that I have in black and cognac. They are less than $30 at Nordstrom rack and I have found them to be comfortable and very versatile: they work with jeans of course and look cute even with joggers!

You might have noticed my cute new crossbody purse! I am justifying this purchase because I donated a good 4 to 5 handbags in the past 6 months. I have found that I am now drawn to structured crossbody bags and do not reach much for others. I first saw this purse with the bee strap one of Megan’s Honey We’re Home Amazon hauls and really liked it. It wasn’t until last week when I saw the purse again on another blog that I decided which color would make sense for me. The bee strap actually costs a couple dollars more than the purse but adds such a fun twist to the purse that I decided it was worth it.
Here is a close up: I was having fun being creative!
Green and White
This is the ouftit you probably have seen if you read my blog or follow me on Instagram. I told you that bench is a great spot for pictures.
Of course, white was an easy choice and the leopard adds a fun pattern mix in a understated way.
Green and Blue Denim
Last is the skirt with a regular denim jacket. It was still cool when I wore this outfit so I am wearing booties. This goes to show you that a springy skirt can be worn at different times of the year. If I remember correctly, I am wearing a long tee under the jacket.
Not portrayed would be wearing the skirt with a graphic tee: I plan to wear it with a black graphic next. It think it would be also cute with a blush tee. This is when you know that a purchase was a good purchase: you keep coming up with outfit ideas for it!

I love wearing maxis instead of jeans or shorts all the time and yours is a beautiful one! And that crossbody bag is great but that bee strap makes it! What do you do with the strap that comes attached to the purse….cut it off? I’m not sure which of your looks is my favorite, but changing out the jacket and shoes sure does make a difference! I love these outfits on you and that background is so pretty!

I did cut the strap off because it was sewn on the ends and you couldn’t just take it off. I go through phases where I enjoy my maxis more than others. Wearing another one today!

You look great in all versions. Such a pretty print and color of the skirt! And loving the bee strap on the bag! It adds such a great detail to it!

I am so happy I decided to get the strap in addition to the bag. I was afraid the navys wouldn’t match but they look like they were made for each other.

What a great find from Shein! I adore the color and print and I love all the ways you styled it.

Thanks, Kathrine. I know it’s a winner when I keep reaching for it!

This is a lovely skirt! While a spring print, the fact that the skirt is long works for late winter too, imo. I love all three ways you’ve styled it. I recently saw someone else (I think it was Mica at Away From the Blue) pairing green & navy, and it is a stunning combination.

Maybe that is where I was reminded of the color combo. If I don’t write it down, I forget! I love it when I can recreate something without buying anything.

Green and blue is an underappreciated color combination, I think. I just love how versatile this skirt is Mireille,

You are so right about a purchase being a good one, when you keep seeing mix and match possibilities in your closet. The handbag is such a nice cut and size, I’m sure you’ll get tons of wear out of it, and I don’t blame you for getting the bee strap, it has so much personality!

Thanks, Kim! I do love the purse even if I am only using it once a week at the grocery store!

I’m digging this skirt, Mireille! It works so many ways- which is how you know you’ve found a winner. 🙂

Mireille, I love this skirt for so many reasons! Green is my favorite color ever. The print is adorable and lends itself to some fun pattern mixing. Maxi skirts are so great for all seasons. I love all the ways you have styled this, but green and navy is one of my fave color combinations ever so the first outfit is really catching my eye. And that bee strap purse is so adorable! Thanks for linking up, my friend.

Thanks, Celyn! I think that will be my go to bag for the next couple of months (for my once a week grocery outing). That strap just makes me happy.
Lise
I really like all these combos, but the white really pops for me. Blush will be fabulous too. I also have on and off moments with maxis. 🙂

Yes, unlike other clothes, my skirt styles come and go. Still a skinny jeans though for my jeans…
Mica
It is such a beautiful skirt on you and I really like it with white and navy – it looks fab with each of those colours! I have a lot of maxi skirts but no green ones – who knows though I have been adding a lot of green to my wardrobe lately. Maybe when the opshops (thrift shops) open again I may find something similar! 🙂
Hope that you had a lovely Easter 🙂 Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! A new link up is live on my blog now, I’d love you to join again.

I now need to add a green top. Most of my tees are in the same color family and nothing much is bright!
Jacqui Berry
You look cute in this, love it with the white jacket! I need a white jean jacket and will have to start looking whilst I have some free time. Jacqui x

Thanks, Jacqui! Hope you find one, I have really liked how it goes with everything!
