Nature at its Best
This is my third and last installment of my series dedicated on the beauty found in nature. This quarantine time came at the perfect time as far as weather goes in Georgia: we have had the most wonderful weather: cool and warm most days, the highest temperature we have had so far has been in the mid 80s and not much humidity to speak of. Usually by this time, we are about to suffer from heat stroke. We have 3 places within 15 minutes drives from our house where we can enjoy hikes.
Thankfully, the boys have really enjoyed this outdoor adventures as much as I have and they are usually game to join me.
I have been amazed at how each time we walk, we discover a new plant or new spot that we want to photograph. This one I had to look up, it is a weed called hairy vetch. Quite an ugly name for such a pretty purple weed flower!
This arch is so pretty. I would love something like this in my backyard!
I am glad I have developed a love of the outdoors in my children. It puts all of us in a good mood. It is also teaching us to notice our surroundings and pay attention to the small details.
And we are always pleased when we see some wildlife weather it is a snake, a butterfly or some geese.
A bientôt!

So pretty! We truly have been blessed with great weather during this time of self isolating <3

Yes. I couldn’t imagine it if it was cold and wet and dreary.
Michelle,
You’re right “Hairy Vetch” does not do this pretty purple flower any justice. And how do people decide what is a weed? Back when I had a place where I could garden, I would have loved to put this flower in my garden.

Nature is just so pretty! I love seeing those geese. We woke up to mallard ducks in our pool yesterday. I guess they were tired of being quarantined wherever they had previously been! 🙂

Lol! It is fun to see different animals! Today was only a squirrel but the other day we saw a baby possum in our neighbor’s yard.

I’ve been taking so many pictures of the blooms lately and ducks! Lol! I agree, this sheltering in came at the first time of the year here, too. I’m still looking forward to getting out for long walks, even as it heats up. I may just need to get out earlier!

Yes, we will have to figure out when to go. Probably before bedtime in the neighborhood or make sure we find shaded areas (which the state park has).

Oh wow! These photos are SO beautiful! It’s wonderful you’re getting some great weather to enjoy right now. It’s finally getting nice by us too, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I have seen how cold it has been in the North. Glad the weather is taking a turn for the better now.
