Red, White and Blue: Patriotic Outfits: Sunday Showcase Link up July 2020

It is with pleasure that I join and collaborate with Ada (from Elegance and Mommyhood) for her Sunday Showcase link up.(Link up will be live around 8 PM each Sunday) . We will co-hosting a new link up every 1st Sunday of the month! Don’t forget to visit Ada and see more about her 4th of July looks!

Today’s theme is a propos for the 4th of July but these outfits would be great for Memorial Day and any other patriotic holiday. While I sometimes wear a tee with a flag, I usually try to use patriotic color in a stylish and not too obvious way. Today I am sharing a casual beach look and a dressier look. I had another one in mind but it didn’t translate well in pictures however I will share my actual look at the end of the post. You might have seen it in my Instagram feed on Saturday. Click here for Ada’s Instagram: I love following her stories!

Here is one of Ada’s two looks! The floppy hat is really cute and I really would like a pair of those sandals: look that they would be fun for a day at the lake or the beach! And maybe I should start investing in some graphic tanks: I love my graphic tees and should branch out! What a fun laid back patriotic look!

4th Beachy Look

In this fun beachy look (therefore no shoes), I am sporting this soft colorful sweatshirt. Jenny from the Sensible Shopholic shared this on her Instagram stories several times and I was able to get it on a great sale. It is actually a boy’s sweatshirt and I am wearing it in size XL.

My Target cuffed shorts are a great 5″ length and I am wearing a pair of Nickel and Suede navy gem earrings. I got these when they were the Earring of the Month last year and they are not available anymore.

Dressy Look

Ada’s plaid tank is so cute and could be worn year round. I love her flirty little skirt and oh my, I want a pair of espadrilles now!

I would wear my 2nd look for a fancier 4th of July BBQ or gathering. We usually just get together with family for some food and fireworks. This year there will be no fireworks but we will get together outdoors with a couple neighbors.

I shopped my closet and pulled some old favorites for this look: everything is probably around 5 years old! I really like this tank because it is flattering and has an interesting print. It was thrifted and while I have thought of donating it several times, it has survived my closet purges year after year.

My linen pants are versatile and really fun for summer as they breathe well in the heat. Remember my all white look a couple months ago?

Shoes are a wedge heel and not my most comfortable pair as they are a little tight in the toes. Since they are so cute, I still wear them but never for too long of a period of time. They do not hurt but they are not my coziest pair of sandals.

Join us every 1st Sunday of the Month for the Sunday Showcase Link UP! (Live around 8 PM)

Had to share a close up of my patriotic wreath! I really love this wood curls wreath!

Here is my actual 4th of July outfit which a combination of the 2 looks above. It was a warm day so I spent a lot of time indoors until the evening.

Here is Ada’s second look once again! Those espadrilles are to die for! I like that the patriotic theme is subtle with the blue top and shoes. That tank is really cute!

A bientĂ´t!
