Brights from Day to Night with the Ageless Style Link Up

After realizing that I really liked Old Navy’s pixie ankle pants, I went online and ordered 3 more pairs including this bright straight leg pair. I went for patterns, color and shape and it was nice to add a pair that was not skinny pants to my closet. These are both real life outfits which is what I usually share on my blog.

Brights for Day

I went really colorful with this outfit that I wore taking my oldest to the eye doctor at Target. We found this wall on the way back home and I left the car running so we could grab a few photos.

I wouldn’t have thought turquoise and red would work so well but wow, I do like it a lot! I added some more turquoise and color with both the Amazon tee and the feather earrings my mom gave me one Christmas. A graphic tee and flat sandals is an easy way to dress down a nice pair of slacks. The color of these pants really lend themselves to being casual as well as dressy.

My French straw tote always brings happy memories to mind and I like that it adds more color to the outfit. I really should have picked more when we found these at a market: they were only 8 euros. The sandals are old and I hope they will make it another season.

Brights for Night

The hubby and I went on a impromptu date last week in our little town. I decided it was the perfect day to wear my red pixie pants again and to dress them up. It took me a while to come up with a whole outfit though because I wanted a little bum coverage so I tried on 3 tops and about as many sandals.

Most of my tops are casual but this thrifted tunic has been a keeper in my closet for the past 5 or more years. The black and white with a little gold pattern top has always worked well as a date night top. I usually pair it with black or white leggings so this was a new combination for me.

I found these block heel sandals on clearance at Target years ago and the heel is my type of heel: easy to walk in and not too high. I do not own any pumps or stilletos: all of my dressier sandals are some type of wedge. I wore gold accessories to pick up the gold in the top.

I always enjoy the prompts for our link up because it makes me think outside of the box a little. Most of my outfits with these ankle pants will likely be casual so I really enjoyed this outfit.
