Inspired by Looks for Spring
On Saturday, I decided to proofread Monday’s post (this one) to realize I actually had not written it! I have been cranking out blog posts and scheduling them as inspiration strikes and had the pictures for this post but lo and behold, I had not written it. This inspired by post was inspired by Dawn from Just doing my Best and Debi from A Beautiful Second Act. What I usually do is snap a screenshot when I come across an outfit I like and feel I can reproduce in some manner and it just turned out that each had two within a time period that inspired me.
Wide Leg Denim and Pink Top
I’ve been all about the wide leg pants as the weather warms up but I probably wouldn’t have thought of pairing them with a flowy top! It just worked out perfect for me to replicate Dawn’s look as I had the exact top she was wearing in my closet.
I have a new pair of Target sandals that have a heel similar to hers so I may wear this outift again with those sandals and my white top which is identical to the pink one. I think the heel on my new sandals will give the outfit better lines at the bottom.
Red Kimono and Royal Blue Top
Just a week or so later, I saw another outfit of Dawn’s that I knew I want to try to put together. The colors caught my eye as well as the denim cut.
I have worn this blue tank and kimono top before but with bermuda shorts. So on a cooler day I paired them with bootcut jeans and I thought my striped sandals added a fun vibe. It’s now too warm for jeans but any bottoms work with this pretty colors.
White Dress with Blue Denim Jacket
I hadn’t worn my white sundress yet and since I always cover my shoulders in church pulling out this blue jacket was perfect. I love that it is 3/4 sleeves so I don’t have to roll up the sleeves. White sneakers work so well with dresses, if you haven’t tried yet, please do!
White Sundress with White Denim
I love having new ways to wear my closet! I probably wouldn’t have thought of this combination without seeing it on Debi first. I love her statement necklace and I sure don’t wear mine often enough!
This post was a labor of love! My site was giving me issues timing out and not uploading quick enough but here it is: spring outfit inspired by some lovely ladies!

And now I really want a white dress! It looks absolutely lovely with a denim jacket, cool and kind of romantic!

I do like it with the dark denim. I copied Jacqui’s outfit in the fall with a moto jacket and the white dress and I think that has been my favorite to date.

The white dress with denim jacket + white sneakers is super cute! Skirts/dresses with sneakers never seem to look right on me these days but I love the look on others.

Thanks, Sally! I think it is a matter of getting used to it on yourself. I often like on others better than me.
Joanne
These are all fabulous looks! I particularly love the kimono with the boot cut jeans but probably because boot cut are my favorite style of jeans.

Thanks, Joanne! I really have loved wearing this pair of bootcut jeans. It’s a nice silhouette.

Mireille, you are the queen of the Inspiration looks! I usually read blogs on my laptop so I don’t usually do a screenshot (I don’t know if you can do them on a laptop). I love every single one of these outfits! And, I am on the hunt for the perfect white dress. I thought I found one at Nordstrom, but I felt like I should be working at the Clinique counter!

If I am reading a blog on my computer, I just take a picture of the computer screen!

Thanks, Kathrine. This one was Target last year and at first the loose fit was not my favorite but I have worn it a lot.

That’s why social media and blogs are so powerful. We get so much fabulous inspiration from others.

These are all such cute outfits! I love the white on white look especially. I normally using contrasting colors, but the white monochrome is so elegant and fresh looking!

I typically do contrasting color too. Fun to do something different.

I was just telling my daughter 30 minutes ago how much I liked the monochromatic off white or white look Johnny Depp’s attorney was wearing in court today. I never think to wear monochromatic outfits. But so admire them. And your lovely white dress paired with the white denim jacket and white tennies is just adorable.
I am eyeing some wide leg pants at Old Navy but just not sure how comfortable I would be in wearing them. Had a pair about 5 years ago and for some reason felt like I could wear them only on vacation!! I know, I’m nuts. They are so comfortable. Maybe it is time to try them again.
My favorite look is the kimono outfit. Kimono are just THE BEST thing in my book!! And I love the bold colors of yours, the terrific earrings and tee you wore with it and those cool looking flare leg jeans. A+

Thank you, Leslie! Wide leg pants are hard for me. These are actually too big at the waist but they still work. I have to try different styles to find the right ones and I typically do wear something fitted at the top.
Jill
I get so much inspiration from other bloggers too! Love your recreations of all of these looks! Your red kimono is gorgeous and I love that pink top paired with the wide leg jeans!

Mica Away From The Blue
These are such great outfits and it’s so good that you had similar or the same pieces in your wardrobe to recreate! I think the kimono one is my fvourite – I really love red and blue together and of course you know kimonos are my favourite! 🙂 But I’m loving the monochrome white dress outfit too 🙂
Thanks for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope you are having a great weekend. It’s another rainy day here.
