Daily Exercise: A Walk with a View
I have been working on making sure I move everyday now that the boys are in school and I have extra time and no excuses to not exercise. I like to make sure to do a variety of activities from running and walking, doing a workout on my rebounder (trampoline) or doing a quick 5 to 10 minute workout on you tube. I often times do a combination of these. I am also incorporating some bike riding to some weeks.
On this day, I decided a walk at a local trail would be fun as it was overcast and not overly hot and the views are always pretty. The walk is about 2.4 miles and since I stopped a few times for pictures I made sure to jog a little here and there but mostly I walked.
I enjoy seeing the cotton fields and the variety of trees. Right now the crepe myrtles are still in bloom. There were not many flowers blooming but everything was really green.
There are grass farms and cotton farms. Hay is also cut several times a year. It is really neat to see the process and different stages throughout the year. I enjoy walking in my neighborhood but these views are much nicer!
They added many birdhouses but I can’t say I have seen that many birds but then I also haven’t walked here much in the summer as only one section is shaded.
We’ve had picnics by these trees and maybe we shall have a few in the fall on the nights where there are no activities. Trying to schedule appointment had become a difficult task in between activities, homework and traffic.
The fungi really caught my eye! It is not often that I see so much in one spot. I had to take a close up picture.
Cool, isn’t it?
This little beauty caught my eye as I ended my walk: it looks like it shines from the inside! I will make sure to schedule at least one walk here a week! Variety is the spice of life!
A bientôt!

We have some similar movement habits! I try to go for a walk every morning and then work in either a quick Peloton workout or a rebounder workout over lunch! Nothing too long, just several shorter workouts spread throughout the day!

Yes, shorter is just more manageable usually!

That’s the beauty of walking in nature. The views really give us a feeling of wonder, don’t you think?? That fungus for example. How amazing!!
We have been trying to move somehow at least 5 times a week. That’s why I love the classes offered here because we are much better at it with a little organization, haha.

The fungus was really cool! It’s crazy to me how busy I have been so far and yesterday I had no pocket of time for exercising but maybe thrifting could count?

Lovely pictures. It’s so interesting to walk the same routes all year to see how they change each season. Thanks for linking.

Yes! I love it here in the fall when you can see all of the cotton or when they make bales of hay.
