Halftee: Review of a Practical and Pretty Layering Solution
I’ve been intrigued by the Halftees some of my blogging friends have shared (in particular Jodie and KellyAnn). I linked their most recent posts, but you can get some spring/summer layering inspiration by searching their blogs with the keyword halftee. Today, I am sharing my Lace Long Sleeve Halftee (gifted) with my thoughts about this product. I reached out to KellyAnn to make sure I chose the appropriate size as I know I usually wear items in the same size. The size Medium fits me perfectly.
The Halftee fits close to the body and fits under your bust so there is not riding up or down. The fabric is stretchy even in the lace and is very comfortable to wear.
I chose the lace because I thought it would give a romantic/boho feel to whatever I would pair it with and I love it. There are many styles you can chose from on the website from different necklines, colors, sleeve length and styles. It is actually quite hard to narrow down your choices!
I think this particular one will work 3 seasons out of the year since it is breathable and I am sharing a couple more ways to wear it below. I love this layering option for extra coverage (low cut dress or top) or some sun coverage with spaghetti strap dresses or jumpsuits.
On this cloudy day, I paired it with my thrifted jumpsuit, a pair of Target lug sole booties and for warmth, my Old Navy Shacket (still probably my best buy of the last 6 months). The shacket is no longer in stock but your local store might still have a few.
I would like to add another Halftee to my closet for summer but I am not sure how to choose since there are so many styles. I might decide on a tank style or a square neck one. We shall see! You can shop with the discount code MIREILLE20. I think you would be very pleased with the versatility of your halftee. The company is US based and women owned.
A bientôt!

The white lace is a great choice – adds a romantic vibe to your outfit!

Exactly!

I love how this concept can help in so many situations. I’ve been wearing t-shirts under most outfits for my entire adult life, but now that I live in AZ, the Halftees are the way to go.

Same here so I really like that I don’t have to worry about tucking something in and get that look on top. Now to figure out which to get for spring/summer!

Oh, I have had my eye on the lace one forever. I’m so glad to read a review of it. What size did you end up ordering? I wondered if I should order a size larger because of the lace! You look so very pretty in this lace, Mireille!

So I asked KellyAnn was size she got because I feel like we are similar sizes. She got medium so did I and it is perfect. I does have some stretch to it which makes it very comfortable. For info I am 34D or DD.

This is such a great example of how layering should be done. You look great and I love seeing your sense of style. https://www.bauchlefashion.com/2023/02/inside-latest-heart-shaped-handbag-trend.html

I have long-sleeve layering tops in lace and sequins that I use the same way. I have some loose silk tees that would go great with these. I never thought of it until I saw you in the photo with the loose top. I also like how you wear your Halftee with just the cuffs showing from the sleeves of your top. I always love the idea of ornate cuffs. Thanks for sharing this – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Thanks, Angie! Yes, the sleeve peeking as cuffs is kind of cool too!

These are a fantastic idea! I love that there is less bulk under my tops.
mimifce
Exactly, especially when paired with spaghetti strap dresses or tops.

What a great ‘invention!’ I need as little bulk as possible on my chest. This looks like the perfect solution. A thin layer that looks like a full length top. I have a couple of jumpers that this would be perfect under. Going to check them out. Love the way you’ve styled this piece in 3 different ways. I am very uncomfortable wearing low neck tops so having this pretty lace peeking out under a low cut top would make me feel much better.

I am the same way. I am going to check out their tank ones and see if they have a square line or something for some of my summer dresses.
