Clara Sun Woo: A Versatile Jumpsuit for Spring

Clara Sun Woo is a mother and daughter design team based out of New York. Their clothing collection is very comfortable and made of a soft stretch knit fabric that is easy to wear everyday and is exceptional for traveling (here is a timeline of their story). I was approached for an Instagram collaboration but really wanted to share this beautiful jumpsuit on my blog too as it is truly going to be something I will wear often this summer.

The first thing that caught my eye when browsing was the halter style of the Grecian Halter Pocket Jumpsuit. I find halter tops very flattering and the back of this one is a little different with the straight straps. Navy is a versatile and beautiful neutral that can pair with many colors.

The first word that came to my mind when trying on the jumpsuit was fluid: it drapes beautiful and is very soft. I like the cropped length which fits me well at 5’4″. Today I am sharing how to style it for spring but I plan to share it styled for summer when it warms up. On this day, I took pictures on a beautiful day as you can see, however it was in the mid 40s and the wind made it feel a lot colder.

With a Bright Color

I could have chosen to pair the jumpsuit with my purple blazer but I am often drawn to this mustard denim jacket in the spring and fall. I also tried to share a variety of shoes to show you that most shoes would look great with the jumpsuit. The snakeskin booties add a little fun and texture to this outfit.

With a Patterned Jacket

I can see this jumpsuit with a floral blazer, a leopard or animal print as well as any dots! I paired it here with a thrifted blazer, and a pair of neutral booties that matches the blazer.

White for Contrast

It hard to see but I am wearing a white belt under the white denim jacket. I really like the stark contrast between the navy and white and really had to restrain myself from choosing something in that color combination when browsing because I already have several navy and white patterned items. I carried the white with my white sneakers which I wear at least once a a week in the spring.

More Neutrals

I love how the halter knot stands out with this particular short sleeve blazer. It allows it to shine, and this look as well as the polka dot blazer are my favorite. I love that this jumpsuit doesn’t have to be only relegated to warm days but can be layers or cooler days too. Versatility is key when you spend more on an item.

I hope you enjoyed the styling of this Clara Sun Woo Jumpsuit. You can carry on these ideas to any neutral base (dress, jumpsuit, column combo of a top and bottom). You can save 10% on any purchase with code MIREILLE at Clara Sun Woo.
