Zebra Print Nine West Thrifted Dress
This cute zebra print dress needed a blog post of its own, so here we are. I thrifted it at Uptown Cheapskate (a consignment store with several locations around Atlanta) which has been my go to for dresses lately. I have found that they have a nice selection of brand name dresses in a variety of styles and prints. This one is Nine West and I think I spent around 13 dollars for it. The dresses I have bought there are usually between $10 and $20.
The cute print caught my eye right away and I was happy to see that it fit the way I thought it would. I always enjoy a halter style and to make the dress more appropriate for church and the cooler weather, I added my Halftee! I will be needing to buy another one soon in a different color or style! It is such a practical addition to your closet as it ends under the bust so you do not have to keep on pulling it down like you would a tank top. I wear mine in the size M.
I had forgotten the dress had a high/low hem with a ruffle. I think it is casual enough to be worn on a week day with sneakers and could be dressed up for a dinner out with heels and pretty gold jewelry!
I like how the scrunched up neckline looks like a necklace when paired with the halftee. I wore a pair of neutral clog sandals and while I have not desire to add clothes to my closet, I am itching for a couple pair of shoes. A pair of heeled clogs would be fun for fall!
Spring is the perfect time to wear all of your denim jackets and I have a quite a few. I chose this thrifted dark denim one which I have had for about 8-10 years. The collar and cuffing the sleeves keeps it modern.
It has been so much fun to add a thrifted piece to my outfit each day. I almost feel like I have too many clothes (almost, lol) as sometimes I have a hard time choosing a dress or a top because there are several I want to wear. I have to keep on rotating them.
This last picture gives a little more of a close up of my jewelry. I wore leather earrings and my “turquoise/white” cuff. After weeding out the accessories I didn’t like anymore, I have found that I wear the ones I have more.
Well, there you have it, a thrifted outfit but not head to toe like the last two months! I would estimate the whole look to be $80-90 including all of the jewelry. I think all of the accessories together cost more than the outfit itself.
A bientôt!

I like that it is a lighter neutral than black and white.

Such a pretty low-contrast zebra print! I like this as an alternative to the classic black and white zebra print.

Yes! It is less obvious of a zebra print.

What a beautiful find! The print is very stunning and I love how you made it modest for church by using a halftee. Such a great hack! And yes to denim jackets. I own two that I have had for years and not sure where I would be without them! Lol

It’s been cool enough lately that layers are necessary in the morning. Perfect time to wear the denim jackets.

I have that turquoise cuff and just love it. And the halftees are such a great option. And to think I wasn’t sure about them at first.
Great dress and great score, Mireille,

I probably need to get another one. I really like the white one and am not sure if I would wear another color as much. Thinking of getting white with a different sleeve.

Mireille, you are so very pretty in this dress. I love it with the half-tee as that really emphasizes the neckline. You do such a wonderful job finding treasures while thrifting!

Thanks, Kathrine! I really liked that the print was a neutral color and it really is a comfortable dress. I was impressed how good the halftee worked with that neckline.

Such a cute dress and what a steal!! I think black and white zebra can be a little harsh sometimes, but I love the more subdued look of this beige and white print. I didn’t realize Uptown Cheapskate is a chain – there is one in Boise and I bought one of my homecoming dresses there! A black Calvin Klein dress. I don’t wear it very often because it’s so fancy, but I still have it!
