Trying Out a Future Travel Outfit: Linen Overalls

I haven’t been perfect with my no clothes shopping this summer and this pair of grey linen overalls was a purchase from Amazon when they went on sale. I had been tempted to buy a pair for probably 6 months and seeing them on sale had me itching to try them. When I put them on, I instantly knew that my idea to get them as a future plane travel outfit was a winner. They are fun to wear, comfortable while still being stylish (at least in my book).

I wore them with a black tank and sandals (one of my two outfit ideas for the plane) to create a nice contrast with the light grey. I also plan to wear them with white and I am sure I will come up with other ideas (prints..) between now and this fall.

On this particular day, I took the boys to our local western museum for an hour or so. They were bored and suggested it which was a great idea. Children 12 and under are free and my ticket was $13. There were a few new exhibits which were really neat. Steel sculptures, paintings… everything always has me in awe of the talent out there (see post here).

The boys had fun and we ended the visit in the children’s area. The museum hosts art camps for children in the summer and my 9 year old went to 2 one week camps this summer.

I’ve been loving my “French” canvas tote which I shared in a recent post. I looked through my bracelets for ones to pair with my outfit and chose a black wrap and a pearl bracelet. I’ve also been wearing rings on my index fingers most days (one my husband got me on vacation and another from my collaboration with ShopLC) which are fun ways to accessorize.

I love that my boys enjoy all kinds of activities. Cultural activities are not something we do all of the time but we do visit the occasional museum. Most of the boys enjoy listening to music which usually alternates from classical, the Beatles and movie scores. They enjoy sports (tennis, cross country and soccer) and traveling. We go through phases of playing board games or poker. Of course, they also enjoy their time on the computer or Nintendo.

I was pleasantly surprised with the fit of these overalls. I am in the size S. I like that even though they are loose and flowy, they are not overwhelming on my frame.

A bientĂ´t!
