Skirts for Fall

While there are certain skirts I put away in the spring and in the fall, there are a number of them that hang in my closet year round. Today, I am sharing an example of how I transition some of these skirts for fall. In a nutshell, layers are your friend as well as shoewear. They make all of the difference!

Denim Jackets

Here is an example of how a denim jacket makes an outfit appropriate for fall. While I chose 2 colored denim jackets here, you could use a regular denim jacket.

The material of the skirt (which is a little heavier) makes it appropriate for fall as well as the mustard color. I have a sweater that will be perfect with this!

Sweaters

As you can see, I really enjoyed wearing my skirts with tank tops this summer. For this fall outfit, I switched the tank for a Halftee and added a sweater and booties. Since the sweater is an open knit the Halftee or a tank are pretty necessary.

Moto Jacket

Another fun layer in the fall that is edgier than your typical denim jacket is a moto jacket. I scored this one for $2 at our local charity shop. I always feel guilty when I shop there because the prices are so affordable and perfect for people in the community who need them, but I do donate there now instead of Goodwill. All proceeds go to charity.
