Summer Totes with the Ageless Style Link Up
Summer and totes… I have several summer totes that I love, three of which are from France and Spain and a couple of totes from Amazon. So for today’s post, I had many to choose from. I settled on my most recent purchase (in March) because I have found it very practical for traveling and because I plan to take it on our next trip. It is foldable, and is a great size as a purse (I can add a book if I have an appointment, and I can stuff many things in it if I need to).
I had packed this tote in my suitcase for my trip to Arizona, knowing I was thrifting and wanted to make sure I had extra space to pack something if needed to. It turns out it was the perfect size for the hat I thrifted!
This dress was thrifted on that trip: I had to try it over my clothes but I was pretty sure that I would like it: it fits like a glove and I love it! The straps are a fun contrast with the polka dot pattern.
I’ve reduced my collection of bags over the past few years as I am picky with my hand bags, but I have found I pretty much like all the summer totes. Why is that? I could be memories associated with them or that they invoke thoughts of the beach and relaxing time. I really like that this one gives the summer vibe without being too beachy.
Another synonym of spring and summer is white sneakers: another staple in my closet. I wear them several times a week until it gets really hot and then I mainly wear my assortment of sandals.
I wore this outfit to go to the dentist to get a cavity filled: my mouth was numb for at least 4 hours! I then went thrifting at a Revive consigment shop by the dentist: it was a successful outing! There were so many dresses and summery tops to go through. I wish my friends Jodie and Cathie had been with me. They would have loved this place.

That is such a pretty dress and it does fit you perfectly! I love your tote; I am finding that I just love mine and I’m not exactly sure why either but I’m betting it has something to do with memories and feeling so beachy too.

I am just amazed at the great things you gals find at thrift or consignment shops. I am beginning to shop a little at the only one here that seems to have anything at all!! Going to keep it in mind for bags and jackets especially. That dress is perfect on you. Are the straps polka dots? So cute. Would be just the thing to wear to next weekend’s wine fest here. And your straw bag is so roomy. I like the way it holds its shape and doesn’t look all folded in on itself. So many of the larger bags I looked at just looked flimsy or shapeless. Great idea to slip it into a suitcase. I might to look for something similar for our trips this summer.
