Vest and Flowy pants: Boho with a Classic Twist

With our weather here in Georgia, summer lasts till the middle of October so many pieces of your wardrobe can be worn several seasons of the year. This outfit is an example of that: I could add a short sleeve Halftee under to add more coverage or a long sleeve shirt if I were cold (code MIREILLE20 for 20% off). I did add more pieces to my closet this summer than I planned to, but I do love all of them and have worn each more than once.

I do love a little boho in my outfits and these fun pants from Cato’s (yes, Cato’s again) caught my eye on the clearance rack. I had just gotten rid of two pairs that I didn’t love and as soon as I tried these on, I knew they would come home with me. The fun wood earrings were a find in Ellijay on a day trip, they were very inexpensive and are really lightweight. I think they add to that boho feel as well as my wooden bead bracelets.

Look how wide the leg is at the bottom: I have found that is something I like in my flowy pants: that width at the bottom adds a touch of whimsy and fun! And it swishes when you walk!

I bought this tote last year ,and there just is something I like about a little French on a graphic tee or bag. I have seen several things I would love on the Sezanne website, but I can’t justify their prices. I should see if I can find anything on Poshmark. Interestingly enough, I haven’t worn my graphic tees much this spring and summer.

I wrote a post about my style in 5 words about a year ago (read here) and it still applies: colorful, boho, textured, practical and fun! While this outfit is not very colorful, it does check all of the other boxes. Boho pants, textured wood earrings and bracelets, practical (I can sit anywhere, it is cool enough for a warm day) and fun: it mixes a variety of elements and makes for an interesting outfit.

Anyone else loves pants with elastic waistbands? These are so comfortable! And they balance the structure of the vest. My lace Halftee will be one to pair with this vest when it gets cooler.
