Inspired by Jacqui: Tan Crochet Skirt and Vest

I am always excited when one of my blogger friends wears an outfit that inspires me to wear 2 items in my closet in a new way. A few months ago, Jacqui wore this pretty outfit on her blog (here) and I knew I had similar items I could wear to replicate her look. I have worn my tan vests a few times, but not in a monochromatic column and I really liked the added texture of the skirt.

I was a little too quick to delete pictures this summer (I took these at the end of June) so I only have 3 pictures to share instead of my usual 5. My crochet skirt is part of a set (with a sweater) and is lined, so I usually wear it in the transition months in spring and fall. I like the pencil skirt cut as I tend to wear flowy maxis and this is a fun change.

I chose shoes in the same color way and added a few brown accessories. It is fun to play with monochromatic looks. I think that they are quite often timeless especially in neutral colors.

A vest on its own is really nice in warm weather and the structure elevates your look while allowing you to stay cool. I have a navy one too, but I think I have mostly worn this one. Looking at these pictures, I realized I have misplaced those sunglasses. I guess, I am about to go on a search. Does it drive you crazy when you can’t find something? During Labor Day weekend, I was looking for parts of a cast iron pan and a bluetooth speaker. I found the cast iron handles after 2 days searching for them, but when I wrote this post, I still hadn’t found the bluetooth speaker. Btw, that speaker is not small.

I think the sunglasses may be in one of my purses, as I changed purses quite regularly this summer. I will be checking all of them in a minute. When it the last time you wore a mono-chromatic look?

A bientôt!
