More Tulle Skirt Inspiration: Early Fall

Tulle for everyday? Yes, please! I think I started wearing tulle skirts after seeing my friends Jodie and Cathie style them and trying one on. I was smitten and they have become one of my favorite types of skirts. The week of my 50th birthday, I decided it would be fun to wear one of my tulle skirts every day. I always feel a little bit like a fairy when I wear one of these skirts. I like to style them with sneakers for every day and try new combinations to make them either more casual or more dressy.

I put away this floral purse the week after I wore it to transition to my fall bags, but I loved how it created a mix pattern with the stripes. Stripes are always a good choice with a tulle skirt! This pink midi one was thrifted.

I wore this for church: I wanted to add something to the bodysuit and a necklace just didn’t look right, so I looked at my scarf collection and found one that was perfect with this ombre thrifted tulle skirt!

I wore this skirt for my mother in laws funeral: it will always remind me of her as I bought it at her urging. She always enjoyed seeing what I wore and gave me a little monthly spending money as I took care of her when she lived with us, especially that last year when she was on hospice care. When I told her about this skirt, she urged me to buy and always complimented me when I wore it. So I wore it for her funeral and as little wink to her love of fashion! I dressed it down for a Monday day of errands and a picnic!

I thrifted this skirt for next to nothing on the last day I shopped in September (the 8th). Since the mornings have been cooler, it was the perfect time to add a 3/4 sleeves layer, and this thrifted jacket is perfect that transition to fall. I am very thankful I looked in the mirror before going out: the skirt is completely see through so one of my slips came to the rescue!
